if cost not an issue, then 2 nights will be good~ before covid i went there during xmas season, 1night S$300+~

Ya, that's the room per night that's imprinted in my mind all the time

I took "relax pace" as including nua in hotel room as well, thus the additional days with those 2 hotels.

if got extra day, can stay one night at port dickson, lexis hibiscus~ got private pool & steam room, shiok~ not far from malacca~

If drive, if not need to hire driver. 1 extra day maybe not enough.

I've errands to run in JB, aiming for Melaka before yearend holidays maybe...

long time didnt go meleka
how many days is recommended for relax pace?
can intro some hotels for me to look at?

Stayed at Noble hotel recently. Nicely located with decent room. Ard $70 per night.

I highly recommend Courtyard by Marriort at meleka. About 3mths old. V clean and car park is also v clear.

Wah..hotel used to chk in at 2pm. Nowadays is 3pm.

Now hotel and airbnb, all check in at 3pm. If got room can early check in.

True. If only theres room available. But weekends be prepared to wait till 3pm. Esp saturdays and sundays cos guests may extent their checkout.

Started staying in Casa del Rio and back then, DoubleTree wasn't up yet. We "moved" to DT when we returned to Melaka after a couple of years' break.

CDR's convenient location makes it easy to stop over for a shower or to drop off shopping bags, between exploring different parts of Melaka. But the hotel's only a few floors with rooms on 2. We got Lago view rooms, so can enjoy wonderful morning sights from the balcony. Rooms are nice and spacious. Breakfast by the river's great if you can get up earlier to secure an outdoor table.

DT has spacious rooms as well, and we're above the 20th floor both stays there, and chose the city view. Breakfast spread's wide and can be very relaxing again, if you get there earlier before most of the other guests walk in.

Next trip should either be DT unless it's just a couple of nights then I'm considering Hatten for short-trip convenience.

This is what I saw from their website:

I've only hopped on their bus from outside ElementX and it went to Hatten and a few other places before turning back. Have hopped on from outside Dataran Pahlawan to go back as well. I was thinking they might go somewhere near Melaka Sentral...

I normally Grab or walk, have never got onto any other buses there.

DT shld be good. Seaview. But quite a distance from palawan/mall.

Used to Grab over RM5 to Palawan and Mahkota Parade and back too, if don't want to wait for Hatten's shuttle bus from outside ElementX (homeward would be outside Palawan).

It's the last pickup spot for Luxury Coach, so we've more time before needing to head home.

Oh, once even got adventurous after breakfast, and walked down the shophouses along Jalan Merdeka to Hatten Hotel.
