Just drive safe. Be attentive. Dont speed. Dont fall asleep on nshw and you will be good.

have fun, its quite a nice drive to malacca. just for info, the traffic lights when u reach malacca, some are 180s for red light.. :D

hatten entrance is quite chaotic during peak hrs, just be calm and drive steady to the carpark..

Thanks :) hwaa, what do you mean "180s for red light"? :s11:

Does anyone know whether the recent flooding in Malacca involves the tourist areas? :)

I booked Hatten Hotel, and I'm intending to drive up to Malacca next weekend, slightly worried about the reported floods.

This would not only be my first drive to Malacca, but my first drive out of singapore in fact. Gonna rely on my TomTom to guide me. Hope everything will go well. =)

Just checked in to Hatton yesterday. There is no flood along the way and no flood in Malacca.

I am in a deluxe suite with double bed. There's a 32" TVs in the living area and a 40" in the room.

Checking in was really slow, lifts are slow and my room has left over and used items from the previous guest!

There's no Wi-Fi in the room and breakfast area. Overall the hotel is new is reasonably clean.

Will try to post some pic if I can.

I'm planning to head up to Malacca in a couple weekends.

What would you guys recommend for accommodation around Jonker?

yes. If weekend rain, you only can go for shopping and food.

Rain = no jonker street and historical places (A Farmosa, St Paul Hill, etc)
