How are you cooling your cpu

Pull out the little battery on the motherboard for about a min , and then place it back.

I turned it off and when i turned it on again the monitor is not getting any signal from the desktop. It says no dvi signal or something. Why is this happening omg

I suggest not. Go read up via YouTube or website first before attempt. If knowledge is zero and just depends on a thread here is very unproductive.

I did read up on some website. Things were going smoothly until suddenly the test kept saying hardware failure followed by a blackout.

Do you know if the cpu temp i shld be look at is the one classified under mobo cpu temp or ryzen temp?

Is 75c avg and 83max too high then? It was at that temp when it crashed. Or was voltage too low lol

Do not know much about ryzen or aida64 but that range of temps should not crash your pc. Mine ever went up to 98c when stress test with Prime95 also did not crash but i exited quickly on my own.

Maybe your manual voltage too high or too low. Go google see what's the recommended voltage to set for your chip/wanted speed.

System crash due to stress test is NORMAL! If crash means oc failed. Restart pc go back bios and reset to default. Then lower your frequency lor.

Told you don't oc too high. Your boost clock is 3.6. Getting 3.75 on stock cooler is good enough. Those temps are not even close to failure temp. Cpu normally shut down when hitting above 90 deg. It crashes earlier due to frequency too high and insufficient voltage.

Told you don't oc too high. Your boost clock is 3.6. Getting 3.75 on stock cooler is good enough. Those temps are not even close to failure temp. Cpu normally shut down when hitting above 90 deg. It crashes earlier due to frequency too high and insufficient voltage.

I was didnt go higher than 3.75 mhz though, i actually reverted back to the settings i started with at 3.75mhz n 1.275v then it failed.

I was so ****ing scared lol the monitor couldnt be turned on didnt know i had to let the pc rest forawhile before reboooting

Anyway i am now on 3.7mhz n 1.25v but the avg temo is 79c n 81c max. Isnt that very high? All the other results i seen in reddit etc are like 60+temp mine is insane. Shld i off the oc or am i doing something wrong

majority of them in amdk ambient and not using stock cooler...

Nothing to be scared. Best thing about Ryzen, AMD support oc and warranty still applies. Nothing to worry.

Leave it as it is for now. Your silicon lottery not as good as mine lol. Your temps looks okay. Reddit mostly from ang mo country. Either with air cond or their ambience temp not as hot and humid as us. Don't compare. Your result is more accurate comparing to those in this forum.

Get a Cryorig or a CM 212

Is it? AMD Wraith Spire rated at 95W TDP while 1600 is 65W TDP. You can oc for sure. Just not that much. Pay what you get. Free cooler, mediocre oc. Simple as that. Not like ts need that much of speed also.

Phew, glad to know i can stil bring it to the shops for repair otherwise i really cry sia haha.

Even those in the ryzen thread seems to have pretty good temp compared to mine. Freaking 80 at only 3700?!?!
Btw if i lowered the cpu frequency and rven voltage but there are no changrd to cpu temp does it just means that it has bad ventilation or the changes i made wasnt enough?

So i leave it at 3700mhz 80dc avg under aida64 test? Its 40 degrees on idle for now.

Oh the aida gives a different temp reading tjo it says 69 but hwmonitor says 79

thing is the auto boost only boost one core to 3.6, the other core are lower clocked, cant remember exactly 3.2 on the rest?

vs ownself oc which u can maintain all core at 3.7.

What motherboard are you using?

Asus board got FanExpert software as part of their AISuite software which you can control the fan curve from Windows instead of needing to go BIOS. Customize your fan curve with your respective software or bios.

My fan running 40% at 35 deg. Then gradually up to 100% at 75 deg. Chassis fans also 40% at 35 deg up to 75% at 70 deg onward because Corsair SP120 is a jet engine at full load. Back when using gentle typhoon I would max it at 70 deg. This should improve your case airflow and heat dissipation. You have to slowly configure and test.

Running lower than others don't mean much when your games load equally fast. Those small number changes only notable in benchmark numbers. If you got lower score, just your silicon lottery luck not as good. Mine ain't the best either but I make do of what I can achieve. As what lifeishard said, that 0.1mhz don't matter in real life usage. I'm hitting 82 deg at max load using Prime95. But my normal gaming max load only hitting 72 deg. So those benchmark is only to give you more headroom for practical usage and keep you in a safe distant before crash. That's the whole point of stress testing with Aida64 or Prime95.

Aida give you core temp. HWMonitor take the highest temp as the package temp. I would trust HWMonitor for the headroom it give me before knowing what's my oc limit.

Correct. Only 1 or 2 cores is boosted while the rest stay at base clock. Manage to oc till 3.7 on all 6 cores using stock cooler.

Lol. Try that on Intel. Oh wait. No stock fan for the K cpu.
