Yup, can check out Tamiya's RX7 FD3S kit on the TT01 chassis. Has LED too!

I am not trying to sound overly pro-Kyosho but for gas cars, dun go tamiya. They are not very strong in that area. Kyosho has got a better heritage for gas, Inferno, Super 10, Pure 10, blah blah blah. Of late, their gas cars design also looks very strong and influenced by Serpent. Geometry also very good.

anyway im looking for a tt01d as i think the parts are more durable than the normal tt01 and drifting is fun
you know any place which have the tt01d stock?
and pls roughly tell me the price for a normal set(the car+battery+charger+paint+radio.c. and etc)and does the car set comes with a motor?lol thx

modding it up the next time when i have more money hehehe

Yup, the red cover one. Usually I go to S'Wan at Orchard Plaza. Its in between Le Meridien and Cuppage, the store directly above 7-Eleven.

I think the TT01D would set you back by at least $400, assuming you get these:
TT01D
Futaba 2PL radio set
minimum 3300mAh 7.2V battery pack
Paint: about $8/can
Charger: $15-30 and above

Most welcome I think you can ask for the Futaba set that's one notch below the 2PL. Hehe, a good paint job/scheme requires some careful masking, lotsa patience and good choice of colours. Can pick up a colour matching chart from Art Friend or any art store. =)

Quick charger will be either 100+ or those really cheap ones already which will charge a pack in about a day. And if you are getting high capacity batteries, I dun think you can charge with those cheap chargers.

My recommendation is to get cheap battery packs, 1600mah ones, and use slow chargers. Each 1600mah packs about $29 only.

3300mAh can charge with those $15 charger, but gotta charge a few hours. The more expensive chargers ($100 and above) can discharge and peak charge your batteries for you at adjustable current settings. On average about 45min (I think) for 3300mAh batts.
