heres the link http://www.tamiya.com.my/index.cfm?menu=rc_on_road&menuname=On Road .

does anyone know the price in RM? . ive calculated it from ebay.. US dollars 199.99 .. and some sell 129.99.. i dont get it... it seems that there are 2 packages?.. i think the 199.99 includes transmitter and stuff ... if im not wrong.. both packages says RTR ( Ready to run) .. right? :s11: i wud appreciate your reply asap :)

How come yr pricing have RM one? Ringgit? Anyway, you're in Singapore right? What is your budget? It'll cost abt less than $400 SGD to buy a kit and better controller/batts,etc. Try not to buy RTR cause you'll have to learn to build a kit sooner or later if you intend to stay long with this hobby. PM me if you need help. Gd luck.

Hi all,
Recently just got myself a set of TT-01D n in the midst of building it up...i just got a couple of qns as i admit i am a noob;

1) Can i apply AW grease instead of the supplied grease stick on all the parts that is needed? I had applied AW grease on the blue alu shaft then i discovered there is a supplied grease in the package. Too excited to build up my car so didnt check through all the packings.

2) How much should i apply?

3) I had visited a couple of forums n apparently, "25 teeth for pinion gear & 55 teeth for spur" is the most talk-about n recommend set up....how do i adjust this?

4) For drifting: Do i need to oil up my shock?

As for now, i just following the instruction manual.I do have a frd that can help but sadly he is in China on a biz trip.
Can any kind souls pls advice me?

Thks!!

Pinion gear is the one on ur motor while spur gear is the big one which is link to the motor pinion..

Yes, u will need oil in ur shocks..If i'm nt wrong, the supplied CVA oil by Tamiya should be with a rating of 50..Recommended to use softer oil which number decreases..I'm currently using Team Associated rating 30 oils in my shock..

What battery pack and charger did u purchase??

i just assembled my tt01d not long ago, some questions to ask even though I sprayed my body shell already, getting another shell soon.

1) how do you all mask the inner windows.

2) to get the led kit, the headlamp n rearlamp stickers can put aiside right ?

3) where do u all normally practise/play rc ? :)

Hi there! You can mask the windows using the usually provided window masks. I'll share some steps:

1) Outline the window areas on the OUTSIDE using a fine tip non-permanent marker pen. DO NOT remove the protective outer coating of the body before painting.

2) Align the window masks on the outlines that you made earlier.

Extra tip: To apply large decals later on, spray window cleaner (e.g. the blue Kiwi stuff) on the body before applying and apply when wet. This will allow the large decal to be slid into place and also allow you to "massage" out any air bubbles that were trapped underneath.

To answer your second question, the headlight decal can be put aside, but maybe not for the rearlight ones.

As for your last question: I believe normally play at carpark if a track isn't available nearby.

:)

If you're just looking for play play type, just get those sold at shopping centres. If you're looking for learn how to fly, go R/C shops and ask. Honeybee or E-Flite is good.
