Hi all,
Just got a TT01D not long ago n enjoying every moment of it.
But recently i find my stock damper getting softer n softer...it work great on some road surfaces but then again, the under chassis really get it rough if the road surface arent that appealing.
Been looking for more info on dumper set up but couldnt find much of it so i was hoping some kind souls can assist me on some qns;
For drifting, which system (Eg: Hard front & rear or Soft front & Hard rear etc etc) is more suitable?
Changing the damper oil to hard...which grade (The no. grading on the bottle)is more suitable as there r so many types on the market...its kinda confusing.
Thats all i can think of as i still a newbie drifter....any additional info is deeply appreciate.

R/C is a wonderful thing that most set-ups are unqiue to your own personal preference. So no one's set-up might really suit you. It's really thru trial & error that you find yr own. I personally use hard on the rear and soft on the front. Grade 70-rear. Grade 30-front.

Thanks for your prompt reply bro but did u change ur spring to hard or ex-hard to enhance ur rear damper?
Yeah bro...i agree with ur pt on RC as it is flexible enough to suit each driver preference which is y i having some much fun on it!!
But as i still too novice to T&E hence so guidance n tips along the way will clear my doubts faster instead i go guess guess guess...hahahaaa.
Understand Tamiya produce a full alu blue colour TRF damper system, whats ur feedback on it? Will it be suitable for drifting cos based on some forum user feedbacks n opinion, apparently that particular damper system is more for rallying n touring although it still can be used for drifting but honestly, the high price is a anti-climax.

The higher the rating, the harder the oil..

Just purchase 3racing shocks from rcmart.com. I did a soft front and hard rear and also change to PVC wheels for drifting..

TRF..Feedback is good..HPI comes out the titanium piston shocks..

TRF shocks can be use for drifting, it depends on the rating of the oil use as well as ur settings..

Got myself a set of TRF from RC station recommended by a RC frd i met outside...price wise is pretty competitive as compared to RC mart but RC mart offer more items though which i snapped up quite a few too.
Just got a e-mail from RC station saying my TRF will be ship out by today so think within a wk or less i should be able to receive it. Now we shall see which online RC e-shop is more prompt on delivery but after browsing through both online RC e-shops...honestly....i would say i am deeply poisoned but enough of this mth.......for the moment. *ouch*

hey guys, when the car jerks forward bit by bit and the esc beeps everytime it jerks, what does it mean? low batt?

another problem; when i let the car freewheel, there is no 'noise'.. when i put it on the ground to run, the front gearbox makes hell a lot of noise and little power... i think the gear teeth are not biting into each other.. how to counter this>

Yup, the problem is caused by low batt.

As for gearbox noise, check if your gear teeth are worn or if the gears/gearshafts aren't seated properly on their bearings or bearing housing. Check too that your differentials are properly tightened.

what is your esc brand? futaba? if it is futaba, most prob its to "forget me not" feature

Yup, the problem is caused by low batt.

As for gearbox noise, check if your gear teeth are worn or if the gears/gearshafts aren't seated properly on their bearings or bearing housing. Check too that your differentials are properly tightened.

i have checked the gear teeth.. they look alright to me, perhaps the teeth is not 'long' enough to bite into the propeller shaft gear.. and everything is tight and proper~

I have 10 x 3 cell 1000mah 15c lipo batt for heli or e starter to clear.
Batt is brandless as it is order from the manufacturer directly.
interested people can pm me thanks. Bought too much batt for own use.

I also have a spare laser4 transmitter and rx. Anyone who wish to start a plane hobby can msg me.
