Just got a new R9 290x, but there is no display even though I can hear the windows start up sound. Is it a problem with the monitor compatibility?

Check your cable connections?

Did you make sure that the PSU connection is 6+2pins and a 6pins connected on the GPU?

I tried it does not work, anyway the slot should be working just fine. I am using the same slot with my old gt610, so I don't think it's a slot problem.

Might wanna take a photo upload here so we can see how is it?

So that we can help you further.

It could be a few reasons though.

U got another monitor or TV to test? Is your monitor input correctly set?

Switch off the entire pc, including the wall switch. Remove the battery from the Motherboard for a good 10 secs. Then put back in and try again.

Please press "F9" to load BIOS default settings and adjust "Primary Graphics Adapter" to [PCI Express] to try.

Try this. D6 error is gpu error for asrock.
