If guy declined u , it means he is not interested… and he doesn’t want to lead you on and waste both your time. He is being responsible and thoughtful. Please accept this is his decision.

If he one fine day wake up and change his mind about you , he will come n chase you de. Then you can consider if you still want to be in a rs with this guy. (For lkk I will usually say this depends on the situation if it happens , usually also a no)

This is ah mah rule of thumb for most ppl.. guys don’t like ppl to chase them unless he has reason to feel inferior.

Even if one feels inferior , he may or not accept that someone chase him because it is not his timing nor his decision. If he lets the pursuer drag him along it means he is unsure and will probably waste both yours and his time : what you don’t want .

Please respect his decision and respect yourself , move on and away from this rs. Or at least make it back to non awkward platonic not a close friendship anymore to save your heart and your feelings for someone else who will reciprocate your feelings
