How many of landlords would actually report to HDB? Landlords must be taxed for this income too. What I know usually when Malaysians rent a room they would always say that they are staying with their aunty, uncle, siblings or relatives..

It's been a couple of months since I posted this thread. I went ahead giving them more than a month notification about adjustment to the rental and they accepted. Although rent is increased, it's still at the lower end of the rental range for master bedroom in my area. Thanks guys for posting your replies and comments in this thread..

I checked propertyguru and 99.co, my area range from $1,200 - $1,500, with the $1,500 one practically next to Mall, Mrt and bus interchange.

Master room market rate at least 1.3k,if near mrt can get 1.5k no issue,some pple rent 1.8k also got but near to CBD

Your aircon give tenant how many hour or unlimited?

Meet them at a kopitiam and buy them caipng.... and ask them to choose the 'liao'

Then bring them to the attention of caipng indicator... and let them know the cost...
