synapse is alot better now but yes razer products fails to last long

I was using the latest version of Synapse when the problems started.

Hardware-wise, I have no problems with Razer. My keyboard has lasted me for a few years. I have been using Razer mice for years with no problems and only recently made the switch to Logitech G700s. The Logitech software is just as bad (does not allow macros with repeat key-stroke to be stored on the mouse) and I am tempted to switch back to my Razer Imperator, which is pre-Synapse and working fine. Unfortunately, that Imperator will be my last Razer purchase until Razer gets its Synapse software working properly.

Suggest to just try it out and type. Don't have to feel sorry or paiseh about standing there and typing and potentially looking ridiculous. That's how I got myself a Filco.

Never regretted since.

No idea that is the difference between Ducky and Filco but even though the looked like they were the same, the minor differences made Filco a better buy.

To me, it has better build, the keycap top parts were bigger, the angles of each row, and all that.

Got myself a Corsair K95 RGB for the blings and for gaming at home, not a shabby KB but Filco is still better for typing (which I use at work). You can consider it if you are considering the Blackwidow Chroma.

Got myself the BlackWidow Chroma. Not the best keyboard to type on that's for sure. but the ease of use of the Chroma Configurator really sets it apart.

I've used and sold the K70 RGB btw.

There are better ky than razer. Filco, rosewill, corsair, ducky and so many.why buy razer?? Many issue with key not registering.

Ducky is along the line of a gaming mech keyboard. More like DAS and Flico though. Go change the keycaps to PBT doubleshot from GMK, damn shiok clacks.

So what defines as gaming mechanical keyboard? Backlighting? Programmable macros? Humongous size? Colored keycaps on selected keys wasd?

I think it depends on the intensity of the usage.. I've been using razer mice for awhile now. Even all my older diamondbacks are still working and are being used by older computers. I've never encountered a spoiled razer mouse before other than the buttons losing its click responsiveness. (after arnd 3 years of usage)

Ditto, my Diamondback, 1st-gen Deathadder, and Tarantula are all still working fine.

My personal opinion? All my Razer products lasted past their "lifetime". My current Abyssus is about 4 years old (i think?) Use until the whole mouse surface sticky and almost peeling off. So far so good. No problems. Previously was using the old Razer Krait. Use until cable and mouse surface become sticky (about 4 years before I changed to my current Abyssus.) My old Razer mousepad used until the bottom surface became sticky too, the top surface discolored with (stains? lol)

I feel that Razer products are pretty well built. Yes they may cost more, but it works well, durable enough for me. Currently using the 2014 Razer Blackwidow ultimate with their "custom" Kailh switch. Very satisfied too.

This upcoming sale I may just get the new 2014 Abyssus to change from my current sticky one.

There are other good gaming mechanical keyboards out there as well. Corsair, Filco, Ducky and Cooler Master's CM Storm etc.. They do make quality keyboards, too.

Due to the fact that Cherry RGB switch is exclusive for corsair. Other company has to make their own switch for RGB. Razer is the first to react by making Kailh switches so that they can make their RGB keyboard. Even for Logitech they are using Romer-G switch.
I doubt their main intention is to cut cost.

I disagree, Razer products have always been cheaper quality parts based on past endeavors with them. My Filco is still going strong for more than 3 years when my friend's Black Widow Chroma has been RMA for more than 4 times so far, it is not even 1 year yet. Unless you need the blink blink, just go for Ducky Shine, else stick to DAS / Filco.

had a razer mouse a few years ago, didnt even play a single game with it and left click spoilt within 6months. i swore off razer products ever since, also forums everywhere wont lie about razer qc.

however, go test out all keyboards better. keycaps size and key spacing makes a diff esp in typing, maybe gaming too? just sold my k70 non rgb for a cm quickfire tkl, honestly don feel any difference in built quality except the key size, spacing and buttons texture.

other than the fugly tramp stamp?
If look at Corsair dunno where to buy, the last time I check was so difficult and troublesome (heavy markup by retailers and lack of proper follow up from distro), so I gave up and went full amazon because Im working, no time to chase like a monkey. Any idea down here availability and support improves currently?
