Refer to earlier thread maybe a few pages back.

My DA got super hot.... then basically died on it self.

Is it hot right under the blinking symbol.
And the underside of the mouse is even hotter?

Standby 'cos your mouse might go GG liaoz, if this goes on....
I think it's because the mouse is "always-on". I switched off all lights on my DA, so it's not too bad, the temperature.

I put it on a exact-mat speed but somehow it doesn't feel as smooth as I expect it. I guess maybe I'm too used to steelpads.

Razor Habu! GO!

No issues so far! Even though there's the light-pipe thingy, it's pretty cool..

The mouse itself took some getting used to as my previous mouse was the MX510, so needed to get use to the 'flat' mouse again. After that it's extremely comfortable, you get this solid 'click' feeling and the side buttons are simply awesome.

The side 'LED pipe' thingy also doesnt really heat up the mouse. The temperature isnt really that noticable (eg, hot or uncomfortable). Though it would probably take some getting used to if you're used to touching a icy cold mouse after being away from your computer for long periods.

I'm just a little annoyed at the software though, the whole razor control panel simply ticks me off. Plus the settings for turning off the LED lights doesnt stick after each restart, forcing me to go into the razor control panel after each restart and re-turn it off. irritating huh?

installing the software also screwed up the button order, (eg the big side button become 'forward' in IE instead of back) so I wasn't really used to that. Though I know you can change it from the software panel, it got annoying having to keep doing it after every restart..

In the end after i reformatted my computer I didn't even bother installing the software, and my side mouse buttons are the way I like it now!

Enjoying every moment of my mouse! =D

Nope. After my mouse GG, I went to BL and do a 1-for-1 exchange. The replacement mouse did NOT heat up at all.

Better bring it back to BL to check. It should not heat up until like that. My mouse died, then I sent it back. Maybe if you bring back your mouse alive, they can study the issue and prevent future cases.

You mean your new DA does not even emit a bit of heat?
Mine is warm to the touch and I have already disabled all the lightings.
Another weird thing about it is that when I boot up my computer, the scroll wheel and the glow logo flashes repeatedly while windows is loading up.
And when I turn off my computer, sometimes the scroll wheel light stays on if I don't turn off the mains. That hardly seem normal to me.

The flashing lights din occur to me. Just the scroll wheel is lighted and logo lights up and off during boot up. After windows start, I guess the profile is loaded then all lights go off.

As for the switching off mains bit, it's normal. Because the mains continue to supply power to the usb ports (depends on your motherboad i guess). It happens to me too.

Hehe, the weird part for my case is that sometimes, even if I leave the mains on, the scroll wheel light does not come on and stay litted. (It should not even have lighted up in the 1st place since I already turned it off in the control panel)

As for the flashing light issue, it looks like a random occurrence for me also since it only happens sometimes. Anyway if my DA decides to conk out, I hope it does so before my warranty is up. :s13:

Maybe just a tiny bit. But it's not even noticeable, because your palm warms the mouse anyway.

When the thing gets VERY HOT.... something is wrong already.

The previous one I had heated up like a freakin' CPU. After under 2 hours of usage... the mouse suddenly stop responding, and the scroll wheel blinked very fast. Then I know the mouse GG liaoz.... :s27:

Likely your click is dirty... you might need some cleaning... :o

If not just bring down your mouse to BL service centre, we will help you...

Just replaced my DeathAdder at BL over the weekend.

History so far:
1st DA bought in Feb, exchanged in May for known problem in 1st batch DA. RMB rubbing against scroll wheel when pressed. But the mouse was quite fine, otherwise.

2nd DA, 1-for-1 with the 1st DA. Brought home. Immediately over-heated and burned out in 2 hours.

3rd DA, 1-for-1 with 2nd DA. Lasted about 2 to 3 weeks, after that, the mouse suddenly heated up and the glowing blue RAZER symbol LED died out. But mouse still working.

Now on my 4th DA. I've done 3 exchanges so far. Headache. I hope this one can at least last me over a year!

Hope that BL takes this issue to Razer and iron out their apparent QC problems with this mouse....
