Re-contract Singnet 10 Mbps?

SH cable is plug and play simple as that easily can DIY. only if you want wireless router than need to do set up which is quite easy too. any router will do, my Dlink i redeemed from SH. if you getting own router and with low budget. the TPlink router $20+ is decent enough.

SH is digital voice call, FOC for 2yrs contract totally no charges for local call. No monthly call, line charge nonsense like ST fixed line. the
only down point is the cable modem need to on 24/7 or else the phone wont be able to use but what you need to pay for the modem electricity usage is nothing comparing what ST charging for the fixed line call, line charges.

you need 8 working days for SH to port over your existing ST fixed line number over to SH digital so dont cancel your fixed line 1st before you complete the porting. if you want new number than no problem just cancel the ST as SH will issue you new phone number.

Can the exisiting DECT phone be used?

I have a Linksys W160N ADSL Modem, can this be configured as a wireless router only, if yes how, been reading from the net , but not very sure of the procedure if is to be configure as an Access Point or wireless bridge ?

I have sign up for the 25mpbs cable broadband from starhub.

Seriously? I just thinking about doing that.

But from my conversation with a Starhub agent previously, he told me it's best you terminate the Mio first, and retain the homeline. Then only they will help to port for no charge. If the homeline is still tied with Mio, ST will charge some amount.

Maybe this is what he meant.

Let's see if others know better.

When I called ST, they said no more 10 mbps, only 15 mbps at a higher price of $29.90 pm for 2 years. This means additional revenue of $77.40 for them per year. I am really pissed that i have to pay more for a plan that I don't need, as I am a light user.

$29.90 pm for 15 mbps? That's ridiculous

Look, my MORE ridiculous for 10 mbps at $41.64 when my contract ended on 7 Nov. I called them up and after some haggling over unattractive promotions they are offering, I said I am not going to pay the amount in the bill. Finally, they said will terminate the service and they need about 2 weeks to end the service.



After about 15 years with them, I finally switched to SH, paying slightly more for 100 mbps (with home line, 1g mobile BB, hubstation, 16 free channels etc at net price of $29.92 due to 6 mths free) than the $21.16 that I was paying for 10 mbps. Looks like even if ST still offers promotion of $21.16 for 10 mbps, I would switch to SH.

Yes, was told something like the mio voice was bundle with the internet plan so if you want terminate the internet service and keep the phone number you must port the moi voice to old analog and kena suck blood
so either you LLSP pay the $90+ or you give up the old numner and get new one from SH

nowadays how many people still using fixed land? usually is house got LKK or business do very big scare people cannot find them. they LL cut throat kena by ST.

Eh? Really ah? Couple of months back i checked, they say need to pay activation fees of $42.80.

But yes, when called 1633, tech officer say waived.
Anyway there's a lot of other things he say waived, but when go to the shop, all must pay.

I told them so recontract yr "promotion" plan is more expensive than existing plan I have
