I saw on a road show leaflet. 100mbps. Get 3 mths free. Mthly 39.9. Square 2. Early birds get $50 voucher. Thinking if I should sign up. .. The free basic tv... Phone line... How's Fibre performance compared to cable? Seriously I am happy with the 10mbps... light user. .

Fibre is fast & stable. You can even watch live TV (like TVB Jade) online without lag at all. 10Mbps no way to watch live TV without lag, sure lag and lag.

Saw the 6mth foc promo during valentine day and cny. Submitted my name online but they didn't call me. During the it show, they offer 3mth foc and I submit my name again. When the cso called,I told them abt the valentine day offer of 6mth foc and they agreed to it. Sign up on early march

i had my singnet 10mbps.. before that and jump boat to SH when i saw the valentine day's offer (6mths foc) , so far so good just that connection to international website were slow sometimes. Have downloads going at maximum 7mb/s before..

i did the same thing....cancel ST and sign up SH with 6mth FOC. Installed yesterday. Upgrade from 3mbps to 100mbps. Sign up for a TV HD pack as well. So far so good!

I thought I was the only one so outdated, using 3mbps. I am really a very tech idiot, pls bear with me. I know next to nothing about wireless thing, don't have mobile broadband, so don't use whatsapp, don't have tablet, still using my good old G5 mac that I can't upgrade OS, so I'm not able to upgrade most softwares like Flash, therefore can't see most videos that need the latest Flash.

I'm really so glad I found this thread yesterday. My contract with ST expiring next month, also planning to move over to SH, but I am at a lost as to which plan I should take. I am currently on Mio Plan, paying $63+ (I don't remember) for 3mbps BB + Mobile + Home Phone. I am a light user both bb and mobile, hardly watch TV, don't mind watching repeat programme on free channels. I was looking at SH HomeHub 100 (cable), $58.80 for 100mbps cable + TV + 21mbps Mobile BB + Unlimited Local Calls, but haven't seen anybody go for that, so I'm wondering if it is worth it. Are there any hidden cost? like I have to pay for Home Line + Caller ID etc. I understand going on HomeHub I can get 25% or 30% off mobile plan, so that makes it worth it?

I am actually planning to move mobile/bb/home phone to SH. Can someone enlighten me? Thanks.

i have the same offer as well....besides the 6mth FOC, what else does it come with? I remember for mobile BB foc and home line. I will be transferring my ST line to the SH digital line. any idea on the mobile BB foc? Latest offer by SH is 100mbps + TV+homeline+mobile BB @ $58.80.

Free unlimited call means free homeline when you subscribed to StarHub broadband service. Caller ID display is an VAS service which will cost you extra.

You have to subscribe to either Homehub 100/200 or get StarHub broadband, StarHub TV and StarHub mobile plan under the same subscirber name to get mobile plan discount and keyline mobile plan will get yearly recontract benefit.

If you seldom watch TV, I suggest you could just go with 25Mbps Cable BB at $24.90 instead.

The saving of $33.90 from the 25mbps BB might be more than enough to cover for the mobile discount (depending on her family mobile plans and number of lines).

Thanks so much, and thanks everybody for your help, now I need to calculate the cost and see which is more worth it. I kept holding back moving to SH since more than 2years ago, bcos I always worry about any changes bcos I am a tech idiot. Think I might just take the cable plan, know next to nothing about fibre optic, everything seem so complicated.

If I take cable plan, do I need another cable point in the study room? bcos I have only one cable point in the living hall which is quite a distance away from the study room.

You can put the cable modem in your living room and connect a direct ethernet cable from cable modem in living room to your study room or use*a pair of homeplugs, one connect to cable modem and one connect to your study room PC, laptop etc.

Do note that subscribing to 25MBPS cable bb plan will only entitle you to a voice enabled cable modem which you need to separately purchase a wireless modem if you need WiFi connection. Subscribing to HomeHub 100 will entitle you to a voice enabled with wireless cable modem.

I don't even know how to use WiFi, abit too overwhelming for me to learn. But guess,its time for me to get into the wireless world, otherwise I will really fall far far back from everybody else. I am really totally clueless, I kept reading and hearing about hotspots, WiFi and such but don't know anything or how to use. When my friend visited me, her 10year old son asked if I have a router, I don't even know what that is, lol, really embarrasing. I have tech phobia, that is why it took me such a long time to decide to switch to SH. Sorry, I'm still blur blur, sometimes don't know where to begin, what to ask.
