You can put the cable modem in your living room and connect a direct ethernet cable from cable modem in living room to your study room or use*a pair of homeplugs, one connect to cable modem and one connect to your study room PC, laptop etc.

Do note that subscribing to 25MBPS cable bb plan will only entitle you to a voice enabled cable modem which you need to separately purchase a wireless modem if you need WiFi connection. Subscribing to HomeHub 100 will entitle you to a voice enabled with wireless cable modem.

While u do get a wireless cable modem with homehub 100, it is so bad that many get a seperate wireless router to handle the wireless part.

Well, routers given by telcos are free, thus you can infer on its quality. But if you are just a normal user than the provided router is already enough and good for you.

Hi, want to find out for those that had moved from SN (e.g the 10Mbps@$23+/mth) to SH 25Mbps. How you find the speed comparing the 2? Used to always hear lot of of unstable connect more from Starhub amount my friends, guess they have many SH cable users at their block.
Eg download speed, watching youtube? The max uploading speed stated seem almost the same.

My 10Mbps contract had ended, as mentioned by others here, they claim no longer has the promo for 10Mbps, only has for the 15Mbps at $29+ for 2yrs.

The Starhub 25Mbps cost only $24+/mth, so thinking of moving to SH after with SN for more than 10 over years.
Only thing is need to get extra wireless router.

Just to update that my 15Mbps plan expiring Singnet is offering 100Mbps for $34.95, $100 off handset purchase and 10% off mobile subscription. contract is two yrs. Still comtemplating my options:
1. Call to stick to 15Mbps plan and bargain for mthly deduction off analog line.
2. Upgrade to 100Mbps and see whether got other carrots to entice me.
3. Jump ship to M1 for their 200Mbps plan.

And yes, I'm retaining my analog line bec some family members are technologically challenged and a digital line will cause them grief; all they want is a line tat `just works' with no downtime and no need to understand why it's not working .

Hmmmm....got the offer thru' SMS. Did u call their retention dept for offers? I usually talk to the retention dept as there's where they've all the offers of the day.

-When I got transferred to Fibre dept, they offer me same Fibre plans as new subscribers ie. 200Mbps and above. They said 100Mbps not avail.

Forget it lor.... So I decided it's time to jump to M1 Fibre and port phone line too.

do you all actually know that singnet adsl and fibre are really 2 sister companies within singtel?
i know when i was trying to upgrade from adsl to fibre.
i terminate adsl upon completion of contract
and join fibre after i finished starhub cable contract

To the customer, it's just Singtel.
It's not for the customer to bother if it's two sister company or two different divisions.
It's for them to do their best to retain customers. You lose them and you'll wait at least 2 years for the chance to sign them back.

So in end decided to jump ship to SH 50Mbps at also $29+/mth. Only thing is has to get additional wireless router to share network at home.

6 mths FOC = 39.90 x 6 = ~$240. my mobile is already on CIS plan with 30% discount.

So make sense for u to sign up for Starhub since ur phe with starhub. For me, 1 phe with Singtel and 3 phones with M1.......so if jump....go to M1 ...or else stay with Singtel.
