Re-contract Singnet 10 Mbps?

I bought the aztech adsl 1015en(L) modem. Much to my surprise, the range is worse than the Singtel issued modem. When I am in my room, keep experiencing wifi disconnection and very slow. Looks like a line of sight modem. PUI!

Since u made ur choice, ur options are:
1. See whether can exchange for another brand??
2. Replace antenna with higher gain??
3. Keep as spare.

Think it's $28.90?? They gave me a $10 rebate on my resident phone line for 24mths......so broadband works out to $18.90 per mth....a higher speed with lower price(previously on 10Mbps, $23.80 plan). It's already more than I can ask.....let's not get too greedy...

u have not factored in the quarterly phone line charges so the $10 waiver is for that charge. u still pay $28.90 in the end.

let me try to rephrase for u.......if without the rebates, i'm paying $28.90 for broadband and $27.90 for phone quarterly......now with rebate, I can either use tat as a rebate for broadband or for phone....does it matter????? A rebate is a rebate....I save......

Line connection is ok but wireless not very good. Signal tends to drop no matter how near you device is. What i do is connect a linksys router for wireless connection.

Of course I am . Not everyone gets this deal as it's dependent on whether the `promotion' is avail at time of call and the personnel u speak to. The recent posts from some forumers hve shown that this deal was not even on the table for them to discuss.

at this moment, its not possible to recontract 10mbps with homeline rebates anymore..

homeline rebates only for 15mbps recontract..

but anyone knows for aztech dsl1015ew, can u set the bandwidth for wireless settings?

cos i want to limit the bandwidth so it wont affect my gaming experience.

i could do that for 2wire white router...but for this modem i dont seem to able to find those settings

Just called to stop the SNBB cuz my 10mbps contract is over... They too, had offered the $10 rebate... I didn't bother enquiring though...

They already waived twice relocation fee ($50-$80 can't recall) and they are even prepared to offer me a third time waiver if I move house... Quite good lah...

I think you guys can still call and enquire...

My experience with singnet so far is excellent, except that the speedtouch really CMI... And I can't figure out how to connect a router to it... Haha... So I now have a paperweight in my room...

I just wanted to check up on the specs of this router. Is it the same as this one on the Aztech page? It's listed as 1015EN though

It is likely NOT that one.

Probably the 1015EW(S) black colour wireless-G and yes 10/100 based. Not shown on Aztech website.

It is quite a good workhorse. I can do the following tasks all at the same time with no ill-effects. I am on 15Mbps and I opted not to have a 2nd free dedicated line for mioTV. I have 6 phone sockets at various places and this gives me flexibility.

All at the same time:
1) Watch EPL live on mioTV no freezing
2) Watch 2 EPL matches on PC with good stream from "soccer friendly websites"
3) Download a big iso file.

And it connects to DSL and Internet in 2 minutes or under on power up.
