not 3 months before the expiry u can start recontracting?
the earlier u recontract u get to enjoy a shorter term of contract and also enjoy the newer benefits?

anyway is the latest aztec modem better or worse than the current Black singtel 5012NV wireless modem?

Bro you sure you got 10 bucks rebate for 24 months? I told them to check they insisted only 12 months leh.. Can confirm? so i can get the sales team to get them to extend this again before i agree to recontract again

How now have even more options to choose from. Very funny different CSOs gave different options for consumers.

Like to share with you guys ,called this morning...

Detention Dept offer me :
15Mbps plan:
$28.90 for 24 mths without home line rebate.
$34.95 for 24 mths with $10 home line rebate for 12mth.

10Mbps plan:
$23.45 /mth for 1 year contract without home line rebate.

My present $23.45 /mth 1 year contract will expire around Sep 2012.

As I've mentioned in my previous threads.....it does not mean what I'm getting...u will get. It depends on which personnel u're dealing with and whether promo avail at tat time. It's the `luck of the draw'. Some bros don't even get the 12mth rebate. If u can convince them...great..but don't insist or quote from here...as u might `spoil' the market for the rest.

if u do your calculations $28.90 plan will be slightly cheaper than the $34.95 even with 12 month home line rebate

Call them again when within 30days of expiration date. No point too early...u cannot `bargain'.

Does it come with free modem? My existing 2wire Singtel modem suxs to the max.

whats so good about all these new modems? i have been using my old one since dunno how long ago le...no problems. i still have a brand new one they gave maybe 2 years back unopened...

Well, I've used Dlink and Linksys and find pretty decent. Btw, I'm using 2WIRE 5012NV per the `gift' a year ago.....kept it as spare. Was using a Dlink 2640T modem but some equipment I bought, eg, WIPC302 camera, could not be set up thru' modem due to `restricted' DDNS....thus, pull out my `new' 2wire 5012NV tat was a `gift' fm singtel 1 yr back. Now using it. All great and fine for now.

Just want to share that I'd been using singtel adsl since last year until recently. After i change to fibre, they didn't change the modem 2WIRE 5012NV for me. Before i changed to fibre, i experienced some disconnections randomly with the same modem for reasons unknown to me, especially during torrenting. After the change, no more disconnections at all. So might not be a modem issue...
