actually is there anymore no-frill internet plan now? noticed ADSL internet is still not any cheaper even fibre is rolled out.

for new user of internet...so far singnet 6mbps with mobile broadband bundle is quite expensive in fact...user has to force to take the mobile broadband

wanna recommend one which is really cheap for basic internet surfing for my relative...
If i'm not wrong currently singtel is the one and only isp to offer ADSL plans to residential customers. Tats why they charge alot :(

Hello!

Anyone want to jump over to fibre and want to let go of your Singnet ADSL broadband 15Mbps, 10Mbps or slower plan?

Only want those with cheap re-contract monthly subscription.

Priority will be the 10Mbps plan.

Please PM me your contract left how many months, monthly subscriptions and any modem you will be giving me, thanks.

Not true. HBB for 15Mbps is a 24-mth contract and the 10Mbps is 12-mth. 3 months before the contract expires, the customer is eligble for an early recontract.

ok, means 12 mths contract can renew on 10th mth?

Yes, u can verify that when u log on to your singtel account. It will indicate the exact date that u are eligible for recontract.

Hve u recontracted 3mths before expiring of plan and able to get the 10Mbps for $23.90 or 15Mbps for $28.90??

Re: Questions about transfer of SNBB

The_Undead said:
Hi, sorry to trouble you but got some questions to ask you about the transfer of SNBB.

Both parties only need to bring IC?

You know need how many days to activate after the transfer?

How they settle your last invoice? You pay for the numbers of day you use before the transfer while the other party start the payment on the day of activation?

$10.70 for transfer fee, right?
Any other charges which I (I'm the one taking over a contract) will be paying on the spot?

The contract which I'm taking over ending in Jan 2013. Do you think I'm able to get the same recontract price again?

Any other important info which you want to share with me?

Hope you can help me.
Thank you.

Both parties go to comcenter (faster), branches can take 4 hours wait (me 7:30 to 11:20 pm, thurs). Transferor can use authorisation with NRIC. If trusted with NRIC to transferee, transferor no need go also can.

Takes about 3 work days to activate. Transferor must clear all o/s inc. advance bills. Bill will be rebated via cheque/future other billings pro-rated to cut-off date, no need to settle bill amongst yourselves. Cfm on paper with transferor or ST, on the subscription$ & terms of contract b4 taking over.

$10-70 for transfer of name + $30 for relocation of bband service, not inc line relocation (another $30, u know ST, no give chance wan), all billed to new owner (transferee) in new bill. no cash upfront. Ask transferor for modem in use. Ask ST for change of ID /pw.

New recontract terms ($23.45 10mbps for sure) differ month to month, esp. on the $9 phone waiver part, can be 0 / 6/ 12mths' waiver or half price$5 phone line. Since you alr into 10th month, can start calling retention for best terms. Not favourable, then try the next mth, until you can get $23.45 inc. phone line. But try hard unjustifying your re-contract each time to them. You got only 3 months, 3 tries.

Cheers!!

Hi, thanks for your help.

I don't know must pay $30 for relocation of bband service, never see it in website.
I never take over his line, so don't need another $30 for line relocation.

Transferor will have to clear all his bills on the spot?

Change of ID and PW can be done at home, right?

And thanks for the tips for recontracts.

i believe the re-location fee (be it bband or line) can nego, if u strike the right note (call it relocation/activation or regn., ST can eat, will eat wan)..my transferee din fight for it, so i din bother too. comcentre pay with cashier, else with axs, cso wont handle bill...change of ID/pw on activation on ST side.

singnet recontract $23.45
hi touchme, saw your msg abt singnet 10mbps recontract with phone line included for $23.45, is it with the quarterly phone line charge waived or $10/mth rebate? I remember last time someone mentioned the $10/mth rebate is no use if your monthly calls do not exceed $10, wonder if we should even try asking for this $10/mth rebate as unused portion cannot be carried over to the next month

2009, was $23+quarterly $29 phoneline, 2010 was $23 inc. phoneline.
Surprisingly it was full rebate, i.e. every month bill rebate of $10 flat, (2 months of $13+, followed by 3rd month of $43), regardless of airtime.

Now seems like they are twisting their 'phone rebates', verbally sounds the same...best to clarify before commit. Like i said, they change their best retention offers pperiodically each month.

on sidenote, 2011, refuse to extend same rebate for me (wrong timing), llst stayed on with the intention to ship m1 fiber+mobile (awaiting recontract) for free lappy. Before jump, gave them a call again for recovery.. would hv stayed with SNBB if given the bill rebate...phone rebate, no thks.

CSO at singtel shop said transfer of ownership will revert the promo $23+ price back to usual price of $46+, is that true? New owner will have to pay $46+ per month till end of contract.

Never heard anyone mention about this before.

Thanks.

I thot you already transfer to snbb?

not true, they want you to sign new plans only... mine done 2 weeks ago, upon transfer, cfm with handling cso on transferee's plan, it's $23 manintained till end of contract (mar 2013). Not forgetting this is retention's dept deal, not sales deal. ( 2 different depts.)
