For those who have just sign up new internet broadband contract, may I know what is the brand and model of SingTel's latest broadband modem?

Lets say if, I recontract, will Singnet give me the new modem? My 2wire modem has been quite old around 4 years. I don't know if its good enough for today's technology. I'm now on 15mbps.

Dear guys/girls

I am facing some serious problem now. Hope someone can help me. Appreciate it so much.

I just re-contracted to SingNet 15mbps ADSL. Previously was on 10mbps. Still on the white 2wire 2701HVG-E modem. I'm not sure if SingNet is suppose to give me a brand new modem? Is it the black one?

1) All this while been connecting through WiFi. Signal has not been good. Never full bar.

2) What's worse is that I have a PC in my room that connects to WiFi using the TP-LINK 150Mbps Wireless N USB Adapter. Connection is either fair or poor.

Can anyone advice how to improve my connection so that I can have a proper fast connection? Repeater? Hack the 2wire modem? Change modem? Change router?

It's very frustrating man. Can't even see YouTube peacefully :(

Hack the 2wire, improves power, range and concurrencies..significantly.

No more case of 1 on torrent, and others cannot surf.

Google qwest firmware...
Note: only for those using analogue phone line, Will render tel.out port useless if using digital voice..

Like that increase the power of the modem, any health risks?? All these signals flying around, will cause brain tunour or reduce sperm count?? :p

Seems like our wireless devices getting more and more powerful these days, eg the PACEmodem for fiber.. All in one device and high speed some more.. Sure a lot of radiation.

Hi all,

Just to let you know that the $23.45 plan is still available for renewal. I just renew (2 mths left before expiry of 1 yr).

No phone rebate, no new modem. :(
Seems like some get it, some don't.

Regards.
