It's for the subscription of the Copper Phone Line.
Not for your usage.

It is billed every quarter (3 months) at about $27 ~ $30 per bill cycle.

So it translate to $10/month discount = NO need to pay subscription.

Receive my first month into my 2nd year contract. Was late 1 week in recontracting, explains some pro-rated charges.

come to realise, not acty $10 waiver per month. It only applies for phone line, so 2nd & 3rd month bills may not exceed $10 airtime (norm), so technically only get $10 off every 3 months and free airtime on 2nd & 3rd months. Can somebody with 2nd & 3rd months' billing confirm?

Actually I think its better for us to just ask the CSO to transfer our call to retention department straight away once you called the hotline

Call during office hours

Reason: Use the keyword "Terminate" for your answer when the CSO asked you

Outcome: 99% you will get the $23 plan


If you directly ask CSO about any "special" plans about broadband, either they are unsure, no clue, which you will definitely not get what you needed

I think this deal at $23/month is a very good one. What's more it's only a 1 year contract and you get a free modem. Some people should just learn to be thankful and not act like they are being forced to recontract for this "promo".

Summary: People should take note for this promotion...

Officially, there is no $23.40 promotion if you call the hotline to recontract. It not even on their web page and their database. You can't blame the hotline staff for that.

You need to get them to transfer you to the retention department which have the authority to offer you this $23.40 plan.

Last of all, this is for re-contract only for existing customer. Only for broadband and not for MIO.

anyway i manage to get myself recontract for 10mpbs at $23.45 today. Just simply email them using the feedback form over at their website. they will call u shortly. just mention that you are existing customer interested to recontract. and you recently heard there is some promo for 10mpbs at $23.45 via friend.
