Re-contract Singnet 10 Mbps?

as long as u r under contract, they'll replace the faulty modems.

cause i hate to call the technical support and wait for them to slowly troubleshoot... and replace one... I want a quick turn around when my modem gones down...

Hearing from most guys here, how come modems can due quite easily?

I have several modems from Aztech1015 and 1000, 2wire5012, HGV2700, 2701 (flashed with improved qwest firmware), Vodafone adsl, DLINK615, Linksys wrt54 Modem/Routers to clear ($20-50) for yr replacements/standby or repeaters. PM if interested.

Just gave singtel a call, they say it's the problem wif the micro-filter? But all are new that comes together with the new modem. He asked me to get a new one n I was rather pissed off. Told him that I hav 6 or 7 micro-filter cannot be all spoilt right? And if all spoilt why shld i be the one buying the new one? But he insist is the micro filter fault. Sending technician down to change a new micro-filter & check on it. Anyone hav such prob before and could it be prob wif the line? If so, pls advise me what I can tel the technican when he comes down tml.

most technicians quite helpful and that's my encounters thus far. they'll check for corrosion, noise etc. just get them to test all the points in the house.

On your side no need to do anything. After connecting, just do a test to ensure what you get is what you see.

guys, just for those who recontract, please check your bill on the prorated charges. I calculated and realised that they charge double charge GST, ie GST on the prorated portion and GST on the final bill. Although it is only about 40cents difference but i wonder how much Singtel making from this.

In any case i told them they violating the law and the CSO indicated that they will feedback to management.

u need to switch off and on it again. my sister's place was activated but running at old speed till i told her to restart the modem.

I'm on Singnet 10Mbps. This are the speeds I'm getting:

Trondheim, Norway

Santiago, Chile

Yes I'm slower than 56% of SG!

The test was done via a wired connection with other computers on my network switched off. Apart from the test website, no other network processes were running on my pc.

The modem I'm using is the Aztech DSL1015EW(S). The speed test results for both wired and wireless are almost identical (There is a 1ms latency difference via wireless for me due to my laptop being pretty far away from the router).
