erm thinking to buy fridge from taobao... $100+ with shipping fees. local cheapest $300+ with cdc voucher.
I can share with you that one of my daily routines is to spot good deals, and arbritage opportunities on public platforms then do all the basic ground work to gather essential info before checking back with different groups, and see who are keen to pursue further..

No wonder crimson is your best friend. Behaves the same in this aspect! 😂

I also prefer respectable brands. Pay a bit more for peace of mind (warranty, and reliability) :o
erm u got this mis-concept ba. last time is really about brands cause china make inferior products.

paying more doesn't mean paying better quality or peace of mind.
paying less doesn't mean less inferior, less reliable.
i tried to explain to people like chiu, but they dun understand. hahaha.

the components/products are made from china, and branded with reputable names.
So instead of buying from branded, u go to the same oem factories.... is exactly the same. lol
So what u're paying for? is the "brand name" hahahaha. also ur so call "peace of mind" hahaha

Does warranty exist in Singapore? i seriously dunnoe, our service center or after-sales is cui. i can only said this.

if the OEM product is good, u dun even need to service/repair. so warranty coverage is useless. lol

It is not I don't understand that.. maybe to share my line of thought.

For example, in my line of work, I meet many different groups of people with atas profiles that preach the same motherhood statement to me when introducing themselves. I typically don't entertain associate levels or anyone I feel is not sincere in pursuing a deal. I'm also quite blunt with them that I'm not here to make friends or provide info for the rare chance of striking a deal regardless of background or net worth.

Cos I know for a fact that 万事以利为本。

In short, I'm not terribly bothered about "brands". But I also don't want to spend unnecessary time to trace down the source. For example, if I were to buy a fridge, I will probably go down to courts to take a look at the physical item, do a quick price comparison across a few websites before deciding.

This is mainly not to end up as a carrot head since the effort is minimal than to go for maximum savings. I'm only particular about big ticket items where savings would be more substantial.
