Realtek Mod X-Fi Driver

I am sorry guys.. but can I install this RealTek XiFi driver on my setup?? Using P35 DS3 mobo

I am not very sure on how to install this driver... Is there a detailed step by step instruction?? Thanks a lot.

just go to first page of this thread and download, then unzip it

inside the folder inside got a setup.exe click it and install.

Anyone reported any improvements in sound quality from normal realtek drivers?? What about performance in games?? Thats important to me...

when i playing BF2 it enable some option EXA or something like that....

nowadays processor is over kill cpu utilization only took about 0.1 to 1% of ur cpu.. so little

Hi, came across this mod today. All i need to do is to install the mod rite? No need the creative driver correct? Then how do i tweak the settings. Using Windows 7 RC1 btw

Sigh, I plugged in the mic/headset but found that the mic is not supported. Any solutions to this problem appreciated.

so far works fine with a acer laptop. 5.1 still there, but it install back acer (realtek) control panel. everything else fine. mic still working. not sure how clear now. did not use x-fi mb software, hence x-fi control panel is not available...

as for the sound improvement, have not tried RMAA as well. i got a feeling doesnt work better in a laptop, cause the dolby and acer thingy still appears. looks like the "old" driver still exist.

add= dont know my ear why, but after i listened to some techno songs, it become more boomy. not the way i like it, but let's see anymore things come out in my laptop or not...

I'm no audiophile but after installing the drivers and changing settings (basically setting to 'powerful' to my previous generic driver, I can say the soundstage has opened up on my Aego M.

Tested on Speechless by Lady GaGa FLAC cos I was playing this song to death using the old drivers, will test more on rock and metal.

Bass is less muffled and is now clearly defined, the mids have a multi layered feel where each instrument is more easily distinguishable, same goes for the highs. Lady GaGa's voice feels more whole too.

Quite amazing how drivers can affect SQ too.
