gaming mode not in creative, go to Control panel>> sound>> Speaker

i wont release any Xp version anymore, other way is to upgrade your system to 7

please read on the first page: only support Realtek audio chip

this driver won't work on Creative Xtreme sound card

hey,I just bought new speakers Logitech Z506,they sound amazing already^^ but since my motherboard is a bit old (ALC883 soundcard) I tried ur software,but i dont like the changes in sound with all of the control panels,crystalizers,thx's ,dolby and other crap ^^.I find it really annoying that i have to switch game/music/video every few minutes,cuz im spontanious guy ^^,also stereo music already runs in 5.1 without the creative thing,maybe because of speaker fill...So my question is,is the sound quality better,just by the main realtek driver(without creative software)? A few years ago,I had an x-fi mod driver again was version 2.16 i think,it was just the main driver,and it really improved quality,i even tested it and i gained about 5db signal-to-noise ratio i think.

if you don't like so many option, you can always use v1 driver.. it's standard without any addition "Game/Music/Movie" option

yes, if you have creative driver installed..

downgrade from v2 to v1 just need to click on asus setup only.

you don't need to reinstall creative driver.

did everything and now there isnt game/movie/music like u said,but i still have the creative control panel and x-fi crystalizer and cmss-3d were enabled by default,i disabled both of them since i like the sound better,not using the creative control panel at all,was it really necessary to install? would the sound quality be different with and without it(just do step 1)

If you wish just totally ignore the creative stuff. I run the modded driver without it and everything works fine (with the exception of DTS) which I removed from the driver files myself because for some reason it causes problems on the 888 chipset. The creative software also bogs down your pc my games run considerably faster without.

okay,well its all running fine,i just watched a blueray movie and sound is fine(same like before) maybe i just expected too much always wanted to make it sound like in a cinema,when they shot a cannon my legs to tremble but i guess its impossible in home conditions,I tried increasing bass very high,+15gain also in the media player added true bass,but still when they shot the cannon the sound isn't boom,its...crystal clear xD

So I can't get CMSS-3D working, any tips on how to get it to work? Tried all 3 drivers, no luck. Gigabyte GA-890GPA-U3H with Realtek ALC892. EAX and Crystalizer works fine.

When are you going to get THX TruStudio Pro to function?

Even with the latest Version of his mod it still has no function and still says "no supported audio-device detected" when you click on "select audio device" in the drop down menu.

So why even have this function in the mod if it does not work?!

You can try and see for yourself! Changing the settings and turning the features in THX TruStudio Pro on and off does not do anything. Also try changing the audio device in the drop down menu.

IT DOES NOT WORK !!!
