Went through quite a few pages of this thread as coming trip will involved family and thought of engaging a driver.

However, it is just strange that there are so many newly created account to post one post recommendation.

Is there any real recommendation?
And as what someone has mentioned, these recommended drivers' price is higher than what I googled (companies i/o private).

actually i'm not being overly skeptical or what , as myself also sincerely need a driver guide soon for my upcoming 6-7 days trip in end Oct

i guess its just human nature that when I see soooo many recommendations posted by all these 1-post accounts, makes me abit uneasy ?

Uber is no longer available. There is a lot of 7seaters taxi around, but i believe need to pay extra.

any idea isit easy to get 5-seater cab in taipei? or is uber/ grab usable? Travelling with elderly n baby to certain outskirt (sanxia, shenkeng) but don't need a full day service.

No point lying about drivers at this platform. hahha. But you can try contacting the drivers stated and see how good is their response,if fate is in you and the driver, both of you will make the deal.

I have engaged 陳韋豪 aka Kele for the trip to Taiwan from 17 Feb to 23 Feb 2017. In fact, I am still at Taiwan while I am posting this comment.
There are a total of 6 persons (all ages) who are travelling for this trip. I am doing Taichung  Cingjing  Hualian  Yilan  Taipei. It will be much more easy to hire a driver to bring us around especially places where public transport is inaccessible
At first I was skeptical of having those so call “driver” and tour around with us as I used to do free and east trip. However, there is a say: ‘If you never try it, you will never know” Therefore, I decided to do it.
For my personal opinion, he is well verse on schedule planning. If fact, I am a little bit lazy to plan itinerary. I leave it to him for those itinerary planning. Overall, I am quite happy about the itinerary he planned for me.
On side note, I have notice that he was helping my mother-in-law to mend the shoe as the external cushion gave way. Think about it, which driver will go extra mile to help you on mending the shoe? I was totally impressed and thumb up for you.
As for the pricing, I think his quote is quite reasonable. Foremost, I think good quality service is far more important than anything else. If you would like to hire him as a driver for the Taiwan trip, he may contact him @ +886989835979 (whatsapp) to find out more.

Hi! Anyone can advice me on the rates for a driver for 2 days. Car needed for 5 pax with luggage.

Kaohsiung -> Cingjing (day 1)
Cingjing-> Sun moon Lake -> Taichung (day 2)

Juz back fr my trip, have engaged 阿辉 (+886 988 090 976) for 2 days to Taichung -> Sun Moon Lake -> Cingjin -> Taipei

He service is top notch. My group consist of 6 pax (got 2 elders), at each stop, he will come over to open the door and help them out of the car. For our lunch and dnr, he recommend us to some very nice local food and we ask him to join us. In 2 of the meals, he manage to get additional dish for us at no cost. Not only that, he treated us local fruits after meals too. He say is to thanks us for treating him makan.

Though the weather sucks when we are there, it rain most of the time and when at cingjin and sun moon lake, all we can see is only fog.... But he manage to make the trip interesting.

His car is v big and comfortable which also got tv which he played some hokkien show for us to watch. He also got some quite good selection of chinese songs. We felt very comfortable talking to him coz he is a v humble guy.

I will definitely use him again when i am back for my next trip to taiwan.

In front 1, but can sit 2+ driver, did that when going down fr Cingjin so as to reduce motion sickness. Most of the time is 1 infront.
behind got 2 rows, each row can sit 3 lor.....
Total sit 7 will b v comfortable. my gorup is 6 pax.
then behind put all the luggage lor. think behind still can sit more? coz he say his is a 9 seater.
U can whatsapps him to ask him on the car model? he v friendly de.
