Hi!

I just returned from Taiwan on 28th June. Engaged Mr. Cola 可樂 on the 25th for a tour in Taipei. His contact details as follows: +886 989 835 979.

The itinerary was as follows:

9am: Pick up from hotel in Ximending area (Very comfortable van, even provides tissue and water )
- Breakfast (he brought us to a local place that sells beehoon soup for a quick breakfast, very yummy!)
- Yehliu Geopark
- Shifen (To light up the lanterns, railway and bridge)
- Yinyang Sea (Very beautiful!)
- Golden waterfall
- Jiufen old street

Apart from the above touristy locations, he brought us to 2 other locations that's only known to the locals (I'm not really sure about the name but I'll add some photos afterwards). It was an awesome experience and the place is super beautiful.

If you want to experience a different kind of Taiwan, I highly recommend you Mr. Cola! Your tour itinerary is customizable, he is very knowledgeable and I've never seen anyone with such high energy and very entertaining and helpful. He's genuinely very nice

EXCELLENT AND AFFORDABLE DRIVER IN TAICHUNG

Hello all,

My family and I have just returned from Taiwan. We went to Taipei and Taichung, and booked a taxi for a day trip in Taichung. The driver's name is Mr. Wang Chi Chieh (王先生）and his contact is +886 0917 522616. His charges are 3000NT for 10-12 hours in Taichung, which I find very reasonable and cheaper than in Taipei/ hotel bookings. He contacted him on Line (Wechat/ Whatsapp too).

He replied quickly, and arranged a lot of places of interest that exceeded our expectations. He is very friendly, humorous, honest and helpful.

The 9 places we went included:

1. 彩虹眷村 (Rainbow Village)
2. 紙箱王 (Carton King)
3. 薰衣草森林公園 (Lavender Cottage)
4. 中社花市 (Zhong She Guanguang Flower Market)
5. 龍騰斷橋 (Longteng Bridge)
6. 勝興車站 (Shengxing Station)
7. 高美濕地 (Gaomei Wetlands)
8. 望高寮 (Wanggaoliaoyejing Park, night scenery)
9. 逢甲夜市 (Fengjia Night Market)

We went to a lot of places and took a lot of time, but he told us we can take our time, he will not charge for overtime. He is also skilled in driving, there were winding roads but he navigated with ease. He is also knowledgable also had good recommendations.

My family and I wanted to treat him lunch, but he politely rejected, because he did not want to interrupt our family time.

In conclusion he's an excellent and professional driver, and my family tremendously enjoyed our day trip with him! As we exceeded the timing by a few hours, we tipped him as we felt that he deserved it.

i just came back from Taipei and through this forum, i managed to engage Jason 啊辉 for both my airport transfers and 1 day trip. I have used taxi drivers from my previous trips and i think Jason will be the best among those i have used so far. He picked us up at our hotel and brought us for breakfast. My hubby sprained his back and he also offered to bring him to see a doctor. His charges were reasonable, 1000TWD per trip for airport transfer and 3500TWD for a day trip of 8 hours.

Last Sat was typhoon night so we whatsapp him any supper shops around XMD thats still open. He asked around with his driver friends and replied us with a shop thats open and is 5mins away from our hotel. He also gave us a lot of travel tips, good food etc. The best part i think is he drives a mini coach bus, so it was a breeze for us because we had too many luggages and i was travelling with an elderly and toddler.

you can try Mr zeng from taipei too. you will need to arrange his booking early, he is always fully booked. He has this father and brotherly look where you can assured that you will be safe in taiwan.
i have recommended quite a few of my friends to him and all came back with good reviews. he will not bring you to those fishy shop will they will hard-sell you and earn commission in-between. Upcoming will be my third booking with him. This time going down on march 2018, we will be touring mostly on kaoshiung.

If you want to save cost, you can take train to Riufang station, outside the station there are many taxi drivers providing tour around that area or you can take bus to juifen and others places.

Taxi from Ruifang to Jiufen is TW $200.
Another option is bus.

1. 1st day - Taoyuan airport to taichung hotel
2. 4th day - taichung to miaoli/flying cow ranch
3. 5th day - flying cow ranch to hsinchu then taipei
4. 7th day - taipei to keelung/taoyuan then taoyuan airport

And do you guys book your hotel first or discuss the itinerary with driver and see what he can recommend. Thanks
