Good Taiwan Driver Experience
Hi friends! This is my first time posting on Hardwarezone, although I've been around for quite some time, just reading random forums etc. However, this time, I have specially made an account just to share with you all the wonderful driver I found via this forum and that I have to strongly recommend!
Well, for those who are doubting if recommendations made by people with just ONE post on this forums are credible, I just have to clarify. At the end of my trip, my driver asked us how we found his contact. I told him I found it on a forum, and he said thats how most of his clients found him! Thus, he requested that if we had the time, we could help him promote on the forum too, since competition is becoming more intense over these years. And purely out of goodwill, I am doing so.
Okay sorry for the long story, anyway, my driver contact details are:

P.S he is not fluent in English, but if u can only text him in English, he will google translate it himself and reply in chinese 
Oh, and he drives a 7 seater cab. Very big and spacious! I learnt from him that even if you are travelling in pairs, he can still fetch you, but he will charge a lower price! PLUS DID I MENTION HIS CAR HAS MOVIES AND KARAOKE!!!
My experience:
I contacted quite a few driver, but Ah Hui was the quickest to reply. Also, I was travelling around Taipei>Taichung>Hualien>Yilan. The itinerary was certainly hard to plan and confusing, so when Ah Hui asked for my itinerary, I told him I found it quite confusing since I dont know which places are close to one another. He immediately asked if I was available for a whatsapp call, and he explained to me briefly these places and how long each stay should be around. He also told me he would send me an itinerary based on the places I want to visit by that night itself, regardless if I were to book his taxi or not. By this time, I was already amazed at his level of service!!!
Anyway, I was with a group of 5 other friends so a total of 6 of us, (we are students and were on our grad trip!) he quote
6000 NTD a day in places outside of Taipei. Some might think this is high, but it actually includes everything, including his accomodations since he has to live outside of his actual home in Taipei. That means, if you are in Taichung and book him for 2-3 days, he actually stays in Taichung alongside with you for those days. Whereas if you book him for Taipei, where his home is located, he charges
4000 for 8 hours, and subsequently 500 for every hour exceeded.
OH, and I have to mention he even recommended Minsu (homestays) to stay at, at very affordable prices. We booked one of the minsu he recommended and it was probably one of the BEST accoms we had. HUGE + good breakfast + cheap.
His service was impeccable. We booked him for 6 days straight, and one day after another, we grew closer to him. He liked to treat us with small snacks and drinks while travelling. Once, we told him about how we were bitten by mosquitoes and he immediately went to buy insect repellant for us! However, I need to stress that you shouldn't book him purely for the fact that he likes to treat his customers. On our part, we often included him for meals and treated him to drinks etc. It is human nature: if he is treated well by you, I am sure he would not hesitate to treat you to the best that he can!
A big plus also, is that Ah Hui is rather into photography. As you grow closer to him, you may observe him helping you to take those very nice candid travelling shots which he can send to you!!! Plus, he uses a freaking DSLR!!! Ive seen many other drivers provide phototaking services too but they all use handphones..... check out my driver man, HAHAHAHA!!
Ok but in all honesty, purely for his service standards do consider Ah Hui!!! Pls do not EXPECT him to treat you guys or DEMAND phototaking services, since that is not even in his jobscope and he does them occasionally out of goodwill okay!!! He is an entertaining and safe driver who is honest in his price quoting! Do consider! Any questions I will try my best to reply!
