Hi,

Any drivers to recommend from Cingjing to Hualien?
do not mind sightseeing on the way(like taroko, etc) or without sightseeing is also an option for us.
Most of the driver it seems quote 5k NT.
And they even charge an additional charge of 500-1.5kNT on top of the 5K for tis period due to snow, blah. Anyone quoted tis extra charge before???

Also anyone wans to share transport from CJ to HL?
Travelling on Feb 2014

Thanks!

Hi! Looking for people to car pool from Cing Jing - Hualien on 4 Nov for Taroko tour.

Our side - Just 2 girls, so best can get 2 more person.

We will be staying at Starry Minsu the night before, travelling from SML on 3 Nov. Have driver to tour us from SML-Puli-CJ also, don't mind car pool as well.

So just for easy reference:

2 Nov
Fengjia - SML (might be getting a cab to drive us from hotel to SML)

3 Nov
SML - Puli - CJ

4 Nov
CJ - Hualien (including Qingshui cliff - quoted NT5500)

VW T5, Crafter or Hyundai

Hi,

Like to ask the experts here (probably the guys :p), I have a group of 9 pax going to Taiwan. I have asked a few quotes and have shortlisted 3:

1. Using Hyundai 9 seater ard NT30K
2. Using VW T5
3. Using VW Crafter

I'm keen to use the first driver guide as his quote is the lowest but have heard from other drivers that a 9 seater is too small for 9 of us as need to cater for driver seat and luggage. Only VW Crafter can accommodate. But Crafter is NT7500 per day which seems on the high side, most drivers quote 5000NT - 6000NT per day for 9 seater.

Anybody here can advise whether a Hyundai9 seater can fit 5adults, 4 kids (4-9yrs old) plus about 5 luggages?

Many thanks in advance!

Can fit, if all are cabin size. If any bigger. It will be placed along the walkway. Each time u get doen, lugguage will be moved down to make way for exit of passengers.

Hi!

May I check what are the few drivers you had check with? I'm also finding a driver for 7 adults with most likely 7 luggages..

Thanks!

I got a driver's contact through another forum and engaged him for one day trip to Yeliu - Ying Yang Hai - Huang Jing Pu Bu - Jiufen - Shifen. In between, he also dropped us at Nanya Peculiar Stone to take photos. that place is soooo beautiful!

Along the way, he will tell us background stories of certain buildings and spots. very good driver who doubles up as tour guide.

Hi all taiwan experts.

I'm looking at www.baoche.tw. For a full 12 day trip of 6 pax. they quoted NT180k, including all hotels. Is it worth it and is there any drivers you guys can recommend for a 12- 15 day trip?

book chiang for a few day tour plus airport transfer. Chiang is very moody throughout and seldom smile or explain much. Its ok cause although it could be more enjoyable ,he was very reliable and on time.but dont expect him to give much suggestions on food.

The nightmare is the airport transfer guy he got cuz he wasnt free. That guy is the worst driver i seen in my entite life. He drove slowly at 50km/hr and thou u tot it will b safe, it wasn't. He drove slow cause he was dozing off. A few times he cut into the lane beside n we got honked so loudly i was super scared. He also chatted with a friend on the phone for awhile and drove past a red light at 50km. Meaning he 闯红灯slowly which doesn't even make sense.he even complained about us being slow throughout. I alr ask him b4 we gt on tge car if he mind sending us to a nearby taimall for lunch b4 airport n i will reimburse him for the extra time.he said ok but kept complaining later. Its nt as if i wouldn't pay.n he said i wadted his time cause i had to drop by a toilet to change as my son puked on me.the toilet trip took 10 mins max and lunch took 35 mins. Taimall is super near the airport and he tried to ask for t400 twd extra when i gave 200. Settled at 300 cause i didn't want to c his face any longer. he even chatted on the phone and lost his way and he asked for 400.

i really didmt mind bad attitude That much but please drive safely.its super impt since Taiwan has lots of mountain roads. Imagine if u book chiang n gt this nightmare. His car plate is 4376 so do be careful esp if you are bringing parents or kids

Cingjing-Taroko-Hualien

Hi

I was quoted NT5000 (by 古小姐)for a Cingjing-Taroko-Hualien tour. The itinerary is as follows:

南投清境到花蓮太魯閣一日遊(約6-8小時)
am9:00左右從清境民宿出發→武嶺→合歡山→碧綠神木→天祥→慈母橋→燕子口→長春祠→太魯閣牌樓→七星潭→花蓮市區民宿放下行李再送自強夜市,結束行程pm17:00,3人費用:5000元/天。

Additional NT1000 if snow chains are required. Are the charges reasonable?

Has anyone engaged Tiffany's svs before? How much did she quote?

Thanks in advance :)

Anyone interested to share cab from hua lien to cing jing on 26November?

Will be booking 9 seater vehicle, I have 5 pax here. Looking for 2 people to share.

I realise Miss Gu charges are NT500 higher than the rest of the driver for 9 seater.

We used Mr Chiang for 1 day in Taipei to Jiufen, Shifen.
He is quite good and very responsible.

He knows his way well and even on 10 Oct Taiwan national day, Jiufen is so jammed packed with cars, he still managed to get us up via small roads where not many drivers know about.

Contact Details:
Name: Mr Chiang
Email: chiangtourguy@yahoo.com.tw
Mobile: 0937-869-509

Rates are reasonable too!
