Recommend CPU Cooler for 5600X

PS I am not going by popularity or favorite choices.
Why I recommend the stock AMD cooler and is not the stealth cooler.
Is because the stock AMD prism cooler you can just latch on.
While for tower heatsink you have to assemble the mounting plate onto the motherboard than
the heatsink.

The choice is up to TS so not in my hands.
The ID cooling heatsink will be easier to install than Cooler master Hyper 212.
There is a newer Cooler master AMD Ryzen cooler which is new the A71C.

I don't know about the performance of this new cooler as I have not seen or used one before.
For tower I would recommend the Cooler Master Hyper 212X Black edition but it will cost more
than the Hyper 212 LED.

FYI TS other than cooler do take note Tecware fans are not very good especially airflow and reliability.
If you have budget suggest first change the rear exhaust to a strong casing fan
like Cooler Master Sickleflow 120mm.

So hot air inside the chassis can be exhausted effectively than Tecware stock fans that come with
the case.

After that then see how, although I know SE 226 XT should be better. But suddenly Im leaning towards AMD Wraith Prism cos i look look see see, prefer a "front facing fan" (As in when u look from your side) than a tower's side fan.

Again, i know in terms of practicality, should go with SE 226 XT. But still.........

i agree with techidiot actually, thats why even for my personal rig i went with a prism instead of a 3rd party tower cooler cos i was too lazy if u know where to look on carousell, u can easily get prisms for under $20, got one bugger selling at 10. but honestly for 5600x, the included wraith stealth should do the job just fine.

Yea i saw that too but i prefer to get a brand new one then a used one, even if it's "like-new" or "well-used".

Then you should get the wraith prism, it's fine for a 5600x if that is what you want.

Installation mechanisms are also quite straightforward.

When your fans fail then buy lor.. so rush to buy for what.. when you bought the case you also paid for the fans inside.

Take note RGB and ARGB are different, RGB is cheaper but one color only.

RGB one color at one time.

ARGB wise multi color at once.
I would suggest getting the ARGB unless you want to save money just get the standard sickleflow.

I will take a better cooler over a AMD stock cooler not just because AMD cooler is easy to mount. What’s the point of having “easy to mount” and then get worse temperature thru out your usage than another 3rd party cooler that offer better result?

You only need to mount your cooler once.

i have 5600g and using aigo ice200 when it was $10 and a 90mm argb fan for the bling bling. any 120mm cooler is more than enough for u

Overkill for a 5600x... Unless you really value the aesthetic of AIO, any of the air cooler mentioned above is sufficient.

For me buying AIO is so you can get better performance than a tower. Otherwise no point

Just thinking whether should I or not lo. Can afford la but need to or not is another thing.
So now just wanna ask u all more and weight all the pros and cons then decide by this couple of days.
Cos my new CPU 5600x should be arriving around 9th May thereabouts.

No not at all.
But i do like that AIO does not "clutter" up the middle space of my rig, unlike a tower fan.

Well... it's your rig. You happy can liao.

If you never OC, Air = water = how deep is your pocket. If $ you can afford, might as well get a NZXT AIO, at least it can show your CPU and GPU temp.

This can be a valid reasons too.

My experience changing from air cooler to aio was it's look more spacious and cleaner overall less dusty in the system.

Also I can use the system in 29c room without fan and aircon for 20+ min normal operation like YouTube or forum surfing but air cooler max 10+ min I need to reach my tower fan for cooling the room.
