[Recommend] Good Mechanical Keyboard

have k70 rgb's hardware/software issues been fixed yet? read awhile back it's dam buggy and led always freezes which held me back from getting it.

still considering between k70 rgb and filco majestouch 2.

It was fixed many weeks back. Now everything is mostly good.

I have 2 x filco majestouch 2 (1 blue switch and another brown switch)... very organsmic... hunting for the red one.. hehehehe

I also have ducky shine 1 (Blue Switch) and shine 2 (Brown Switch) and once awhile the LED will die - now I dont get keyboards with LED. The fuss of travelling down and get it fix is simply too much trouble. Anyway up to u TS, u song can already.

the songness of typing.. example, I have Tesoro Tizona which I will accidently hit the extra keys under the spacebar while typing fast..I hate it. But on the flip side, its great for gaming!! as the extra keys can be programmed as shortcut for other actions while using the standard ASDW keys.

another is the softness while typing.. some keyboards are pretty rough.. example TT Esport MEKA keyboard which I trying hard to get rid off..

I'm using the tenkeyless 55g right now, had a full 45g last time.

Then why the change? btw, where you bought it from?

Because I find it too tiring to reach out for the mouse with a full size keyboard. Even the tenkeyless is kind of far to reach out for mouse compared to the HHKB.

My realforce full size one was bought in US, my tenkeyless realforce and HHKB was bought from japan, it's kind of much cheaper buying from japan due to their currency devaluation.

U mean CM Storm NovaTouch TKL?? Its defiantly better then average mechanical keyboards but I wanna know whether anyone actual owns one and give us an FR??

I thinking of hooting this instead of buying another Filco or Ducky etc but I dunno whether its worth it or not. Its FREE Shipping to Singapore anyway.

But personally I would just get a realforce (or HHKB if you don't mind the layout) for a little more. They are the original topre keyboard makers and made in japan build quality.


It's hard to describe how topre types like unless you tried it before. The closest description I can give is that it feels like typing on boobs.

Well, just to try out 55g. I would say 55g is more fun to type on, though not as good for long term use because it's more tiring. Topre is actually kind of similar to brown, but better. If you are typing more than gaming, get HHKB, otherwise get a topre 45g. I still keep my realforce around because the nondedicated arrow keys on hhkb is a pain in certain games.

After days of researching I'm still a bit confused. What's a good brand and model? In terms of keys, I am more or less confirmed on brown plus 0.4mm o-rings (if I can get them). Basically I need the quietest with tactile feedback.

Keys: Brown + 0.4mm o-rings
Format: XT or TK
Media keys: Preferred but not necessary
LED blings: Not necessary
Palm rest: Needed
Usage: 90% work, 10% gaming
Connection: Wireless if there is. Currently only Filco has Bluetooth 3.0 (Taiwan made) but not sure how good is it.

- Corsair K70
- DAS Ultimate
- Filco Majestouch Bluetooth (?)
- Type Heaven Topre (?)

Just get anything has red cherry oem in it...
