[Recommend] Good Mechanical Keyboard

Just encountered a weird issue with my keychron k2 while in bluetooth mode. Booted up my pc and the keyboard wasn't working. All the keys not working even though windows showed the keyboard was paired and connected. Rebooted a few times same issue. My wireless mouse was working well so not bluetooth adapater issue.

So i think maybe battery drained so went to charge the keyboard for an hour but still not working. Last resort, i unpaired the keyboard, switched to cable mode and plug into usb. And voila, the keyboard came back alive. Switched back to bluetooth mode, re-paired and everything working fine again. Feels like maybe there is some sort of bluetooth deep sleep bug with the keyboard. Next time anyone encounter something similar where their keychron keyboard seems to be totally dead, can try plugging into usb in wired mode.

Try to stop the sleep mode ... i think its ALT-FN-S or something to stop it ... you can find it in the quick start guide that came with it

Woo Hoo, just received my K4 v2 this afternoon from Mecha. Also considering to change the key caps for some of them, especially the Del and the arrows keys. You guys can also join the Keychron Facebook group for information.

Those with Keychron or any mech keyboards in general can try the silicon o-rings. Thicker than the old rubber ones and clicks quieter too.

Personally, i feel that topre keys feel better than cherry and it’s clones. Whether is it worth the price tag, I guess it’s a personal thing. It’s the end game for me.

Left ctrl key missing from its usual position makes it harder to accept. I used to have topre keys and sold it within a few weeks. Tried to like it but in the end, prefer cherry browns with o-rings instead. The feeling is completely different and there was some resistance from the keycaps even after the keys are pressed.

Got mine today try flash firmware and hard reset. Was able to connect BT to pc with ease

Your old PC using bt adapter? If so perhaps can use back on the new PC to try.

No. Old pc also using the built-in BT on mobo
I will update the BT utility from aorus B550i website and see how it goes

After updating the latest BT drivers from Intel still cant detect kb
Flash fw still cant detect kb via BT

Using cable works though

Was Windows able to find other BT devices other than your keychron? Your keychron K8 should be BT5.1 right?

Maybe can do factory reset on your KB by pressing a few keys together. Should be able to locate this in your instructions sheet.
