After updating the latest BT drivers from Intel still cant detect kb
Flash fw still cant detect kb via BT

It's seems to be a problem with the b550 series
Lots of comments in Reddit on BT not working for the b550
My Microsoft Arc mouse was detected but its movement was quite finicky. Freezing after 5-10mins of mousing

Some on Reddit suggested disconnecting the power cord from the pc m wall socket n wait
Then start up PC....some said it worked, others reset the CMOS while some uninstall n reinstall the BT drivers from Intel

Many tried uninstalling n reinstalling but still BT did not work. I tried n did not work too.

Some just gave up n bought a cheap bt dongle

Was Windows able to find other BT devices other than your keychron? Your keychron K8 should be BT5.1 right?

Maybe can do factory reset on your KB by pressing a few keys together. Should be able to locate this in your instructions sheet.

Could detect some devices like my Blu-ray player but the device disappeared after a while
My phone n laptop had BT on but the PC did not detect

Looks like the mobo BT drivers not good enough. Get those USB dongle. Works well for me and can even detect neighbours' devices :s13:

USB BT dongle might not guarantee to work flawlessly. I am currently using a Ugreen dongle. When direct plug n play without installing the official ugreen drivers, can successfully pair with my keychron k2 kb and razer basilisk hyperspeed mouse but if i try to pair with wirelsss earbuds, i will get audio drops every 5-6 seconds. Test on 3 different pair of TWS earbuds i own and all same problem.

Installing the CRS harmony drivers will solve the audio drop issue but for some unknown reason, now my razer mouse can't be paired. While i can switch to dongle mode for the mouse, i prefer BT mode for longer battery life so i choose to uninstall the drivers and not use wireless earbuds on my pc.

How's the battery life for you K2 guys on wireless? Is it as advertised? With RGB on or off? Thanks.

Bought a Ugreen bt adapter to use for my wireless earphone. so far no issues. No other bt devices.

I know what you mean. Mine is Baseus and so far it's working fine on my keychron but for some odd reason, it can't detect Logitech mice (yes plural) but works fine with the cheapo ones like Rapoo. Using CSR harmony drivers too. I havent tried on earbuds as BT audio quality is not satisfying for me.

Just a silly question. Did you plug the BT receiver behind your pc?

Mine had similar problem previously.

Everything work perfectly now that I plug my BT dongle in front.

Apparently, there are a lot of interference behind the PC

Just got a BT dongle today and one moment can detect the K8 and paired it but cannot connect.
Will switch the dongle to the front to test out.

TKL

Any recommendation for a TKL keyboard ( not a clicky one ) ?

Currently looking at Logitech G915 TKL. But the price is over the budget.

Even if this is not relevant to the thread, I'm looking for a good mouse too. Currently looking at Logitech G512 Lightspeed. But that also very expensive.

For budget and acceptable quality, maybe can try Keychron K1 (https://www.keychron.com/products/keychron-k1-wireless-mechanical-keyboard)? Can go with linear switches plus o-rings to dampen the sound.

Mouse is subjective and I have a love-hate relationship with Logitech :s13:

Actually if you're not into branding, you can try the China mice like Rapoo, Tecknet

This look cool and cheaper. Are you using this ?
and unfortunately, all linear switch models are out of stock at the moment.
Finally, does this support cable connection (instead BT) ? I've noticed they've a USB cable. Just to make sure it's not just for charging.

Regarding mice, Rapoo looks bad (EDIT: I just noticed the gaming mice section. They looks cool too) , but Tecknet looks better ( but again they are out-of-stock). May I know from where you purchase these ?

I am using K2 but in terms of quality and feel, it loses out to my Filco. Overall, still not bad if you're on a budget. You can get from the local mecha store online or hunt around at carousell. New versions should have wired+wireless. They now have a slim version but I have not tried it so cant say much.

I have a few rapoo and tecknet mice. Both are about the same and can easily be on par with Logitech but they may lose out on drivers and firmware if you're looking at those gaming models. You can try ordering from aliexpress and check out the reviews there.
