Oldbird coming from the classic Filco/Ducky TKL (still using good old DK 9087S, Chery Reds), am considering wireless options and/or highends end-game.

Where can I go from there? For wireless I saw Keychron being popular (mostlikely the price)? But not sure about the mounting and build, wouldn't want to risk going a step down on typing feel + gaming feel.
I have both and if you are coming from Filco, you will be disappointed with Keychron as the build and feel is less superior. Price wise of course it is competitive. I am eyeing Anne Pro 2 or Iqunix as my next upgrade.

Topre KBs are good for speed typing and that's about it. I would avoid the major brands for now like Razer and Logitech.

I am using a Filco now and i bought a Anne Pro 2. I just need a smaller KB with backlight. My anne pro 2 is still waiting for shipment here consider that i order on 29 sept. lol. Maybe 20 days wait. Hope it will come sooner.

I really dig the Keychron Q1 / GMMK Pro 75%, not sure if these are worthy 'upgrade' from the Ducky/Filco?

I just got the Keychron Q1 and the quality is really good, The gasket mount work well if you remove the thick foam.

Which switches have you opted for? Never tried Gaterons before.. had only use Cherry black, brown and reds (exclusively). Which thick foam did you remove?

I bought the barebone only. Currently using gateron black. Switching to Akko Lavender Purple. There is a thin foam and a thick foam (Added after people complain about tissue paper thickness thin foam). But it make it very stiff. I remove it and feel the gasket bounce.

Just got my anne pro 2 kb delivered today. I choose gateron yellow switches. Compare to the cherry red, i feel the yellow is more smooth and a bit bit heavy. Build wise, i still feel the filco is a bit more solid but this KB is not far behind in term of build quality. So far, i'm quite happy with this purchase.

First time using RGB keyboard, in wired mode, is there a way for the RGB to off itself when not in use for a certain period of time? The lighting is like always on.

Hey guys, i've been using the Keychron K4 for quite a while now and my main "Enter" switch is getting a little insensitive....unfortunately the version i bought isn't hot-swappable so i cant replace just that switch....

If i'm looking for a similar 96% layout with the same wireless BT function, what would be my options? Can any nice folks give me a good recommendation for a different brand/ maker around the same price point?

Thanks!

Nvr tried the following keyboards before ah, u must search for reviews on your own. Quality good or not idk.

Around the same price point would be:
RK860/RK100 - Sub $100

More "Premium"/Expensive
Epomaker GK96S - 99.00 USD++ (excluding shipping. Goes up way more if u buy better switch/aluminum casing etc)
Leopold FC980M - S$229 from X-treme Solutions. RMB998 onwards from Taobao (Exclude shipping).
IQUNIX F96 - US$199 onwards. Exclude shipping, RMB1188 onwards for wireless from Taobao (exclude shipping)

I'm leaning toward the Epomaker GK96S...anyone has any feedback to share?

Do note that it starts from USD$99 onwards, that's the standard black ABS keycaps + plastic case, with gateron black/blue/brown/red switches.
PBT keycaps + plastic case, same switch, starts from USD109 onwards.
PBT keycaps + aluminum case starts from USD189 onwards.

Anyone know where to buy a tenkeyless keyboard and customize the key caps?
Errrr. So many choices for TKL keyboards, depends on your budget. It can range from S$60 to S$300 for TKL keyboards. You can find them on Taobao, Shopee, Lazada, Challenger, and many many other places.

Keycaps also can range from S$10 to S$200 keycaps, all depends on what you're looking for.
Keycaps, premium ABS ones, can look at GMK keycap sets. Those are usually in the hundreds of dollars (some can even be up to S$200), and some are limited time only. Some need to pre-order due to high demand, and only ships out months later.
Cheap GMK Keycaps imitation can also be found on taobao for like 1/3 of the price, roughly S$40 or so.
Same for PBT keycaps, those plain looking ones u can easily find for S$20. The nicer looking ones starts going up in cost, up to S$50 or so.

Akko Keycaps (Legit): Hyperlink Here
GMK Imitation Keycaps: https://shop64822548.taobao.com/
Basically just search "PBT 键帽“ or "ABS 键帽" on Taobao, you'll have a crap ton of choices.

currently using Filco TKL and bought a Keychron K2 to try out and quite happy with it.

now i am considering to buy Anne Pro 2 Cherry Red Switches but the prices in shopee ranges from $78 to $120 and ships from China.

Anyone know of a reliable seller as its quite hard to figure out which are original ones?
