Holy ****. My dream keyboard.

This keyboard looks PERFECTT!!! But it cost over $400 for it.... EXCLUDING Keycaps and Switches.
Almost a full size keyboard, but more compact.

my k95rgb died after 3.5 years...the pcb or memory shorted, a lot of ghost presses? :o

found a slightly cheaper leopold rebrand, about $40-50 lower than local prices depends on shipping speeds.

unique color with difference in dye sub vs double shot and usbc adapter instead of ps2

Looks nice. Has a "filco" feeling to it. Probably ex-employees.

My filco is about 10 years old too. Still used daily (though not by me). It's an old reliable, just that switch choices are very limited by modern standards.

The gamer brands don't last, from what I've seen anecdotally; I've had many friends buy mech boards from Razer, Logitech, Steelseries, Corsair and most of them started having a problem within 2-3 years. Coolermaster was actually decent - but the pcb quality wasn't as good.

Not to say that the 'old school, boring' brands are free of problems. Rosewill was pretty crappy from the get go. I've repaired my own Cherry 3494 about thrice for dead traces. A friend's ducky 'died' after 5 years.

Leopold is a decent brand though. Archis seems to be a Japanese brand using the same oem.

my rosewill is still working though, more then 10 years liao :s13:
haha, was it one with a removable usb cable? A very common point of failure for some of the Rosewills was that. The wired ones are more sturdy, and was a decent and cheaper alternative to Filco, Ducky, DAS back then.

Just got my RK G68 today and it is not bad. Now waiting for my gateron yellow pro switches to arrive. Also tested the 2.4 Ghz dongle on PC, PS5 and xbox series X, thinking beforehand it will not work for the consoles. To my surprise, it works!

See if you can open the switch and do something

Else just pay for solder service with new switch
Hotswap doesn't mean the adapter won't be faulty

Good to have so many mechanical kaki here!

I primarily use this fat monster, which I bought 2009 for ~$60 US

but I do also love how much effort people have put into building up the community and industry around the new mechanicals, and I want a new KB for the office (M like physically impossible to move).

Currently looking for a kit similar to this Reddit post with some multimedia functions, and also interested in any bros comments/reccos on a good custom keycap set.

Nice to see a classic.

If you want a kit with the knob - Glorious GMMK Pro.
Without the knob - Keychron Q1.

Custom keycaps are pretty subjective. You can look at the available thick PBT dye-subs or any doubleshot sets.
