recommend: ultraportable business notebook

looking for a replacement to our 6yr old sony vaio pro 13. too bad sony ceased laptop production already.

1. price below $2k preferably
2. 13" or 14" in a small form factor
3. for work use
4. weight no more than 1.3kg

considering 2020 huawei matebook 13 at the moment. the integration with hw phones seems really useful.

My personal take is to get an xps 13. You should get a decent system from previous model. Also get a long warranty (like 4 years) so you won't worry if it breaks down. This should fit all around 2k budget.

Good deal

. Though the ThinkPad X13 cannot keep up its performance level indefinitely, it is twice as fast as the Intel ThinkPad X13 in the Cinbench R15 loop. The difference is even greater compared with the predecessor ThinkPad X395. The Lenovo ThinkPad X13 AMD is clearly the fastest ThinkPad subnotebook yet. If compared with the bigger 14-inch class however, the Lenovo ThinkPad T14s AMD has the edge with its roomier chassis.

the T14 & 15 series comes with lousier screen... it's only 45% NTSC compared to 13 series with 72% NTSC

If you prefer more workspace (larger vertical pixels), you may want to consider a 16:10 or 3:2 screen, than the usual 16:9 (1920x1080) screen.

I use a 3:2 (3000x2000), Huawei Matebook X Pro. 3:2 screen is better for productivity.

reviews everywhere is positive about the 400nits low power panel for the T14S. but lenovo SG only offers 250nits one.

I'll probably upgrade to 300nits touchscreen for $80
