Maximum requirement @ 1080p medium; MS Office, Surfing/streaming, Games (Dota/LOL/Fifa16/Racing games)

Total (exclude GPU and PSU) below @ $857 for the moment. Budget $1.3k doable ? Components not listed before not required.

Any comments, especially for GPU & PSU?

8gb ram should be plenty for your games.

I have the silverstone case (using onboard gfx), i can tell you inside is quite small so maybe a smaller card e.g. 750ti is enough, since the games you're playing are qutie basic. full length card might have problem fitting, check w your installer.

given your budget I would get a 256gb SSD for games & programs, and maybe 2 - 3gb hdd for media storage (you're using this for your living room TV right?)

Gaming wise i3 vs i5 got difference? I believe when using M$ office there is a difference so my preference is to go with i5.

8gb ram should be plenty for your games.

Thanks for the feedback. i'll be using with a pretty old 42" HD TV via HDMI. my only concern is probably when playing games such as Dirt of MotoGP.... will check review if 750ti is sufficient to support at least medium settings.

b. PSU 520w ok for GTX750 Ti?
According to Nvidia website it requires minimum 300w PSU (draws about 60w). i think should be ok.

i3 + 8gb ram + ssd should be enough juice for office liao...but ur budget still have room for i5

Waaaah u use 42" tv to play games ?? ive tried using 32" tv to play games i almost vomit coz headache..so its better to get a monitor with ips panel

Hi threadstarter, SG13 is good if since it can fit most standard-size stuff and a decent graphics card, but take note:

The maximum PSU depth according to Silverstone is 15cm, but it is really tight during assembly plus need to make sure the cables won't get blocked. And if you use a 3.5" HDD, try to find the thinner 1TB HDD if possible, the 'full-height' ones can block the 15cm depth PSU. Or you can get a 14cm depth PSU instead.

Modular PSU highly recommended because there is not much space within the case for cables, here is an Antec Truepower New which is semi-modular but lots of leftover cable length.

According to specs this casing can fit pretty long graphics cards. But that's just the theory. Installation gets more difficult with bigger cards. This is how it fits a HD7850 PCS+.

It looks like it has a lot of free space left, but is actually quite challenging because of all the cables blocking. Notice the 3.5" HDD cables sharing the same area as the PCI-E power. A longer graphics card will compete with the 3.5" HDD cables.

If you want longer cards, you will have to connect the power cables before moving the card into the chassis, but that also has issues because it is already difficult to move the card into the chassis if the heatsink is big. The heatpipes on the HD7850 PCS+ can block the way for example. So choose a card that isn't too tall.
