Got the Panasonic NR-BX460SSG bottom freezer at a gd price of S$820 during a Shopee-Panasonic sale last month... One of the better ones around I believe!

Hitachi R-HW530NS
Problem with Hitachi fridge is the silicon sealant they used between the 2 fridge compartment.
Use hand to rub a little and all started to come out. Seem their Japan made model do not have similar issues.

Hi, i heard that multi doors (4 or more doors) fridge gets spoilt easily? Is it true? And hard to find spare parts as well since there are so many doors?

Same dilemma as you. I am leaning towards the WB640 instead though. Bigger and has the same vacuum function. But this model is not mij. I feel better for you to go down and view and try for yourself.
Hope to hear more input from others as well.

Thanks.

Did quite a bit of review searching myself. Seems like this is an isolated incident, but then again, really not much reviews on the WB640. Yet, salesman at GC told me this model quite popular, and indeed whenever I go view it at any electronics store, sure got people looking at it.

Hi. Can I know the difference between Mitsubishi MR-WX61Z and Mitsubishi MR-WX60F? Thanks in advance!

went to gaincity today to check it out
WX60F is new model while WX61Z is new model.

Minor changes in one interior compartment slider and led touch panel layout.

my order was WX61Z but the sales person told me it is out of stock and my order will be replaced automatically with WX60F. True anot i dont know as my invoice still indicates WX61Z

You are not wrong there. I was looking for a fridge last year. Was heavily going towards Hitachi's multi-door fridge. However after sales service is equally as important. This is where I encountered issues when researching. Some people had lots of issues with Hitachi's almost non-existent customer service. A few complaints too.

So I looked at other brands that also has the same 6-door design. Guess what, they all had their ways to call that special compartment where it keeps the food fresh. In Hitachi's case, they went with vacuum sealed. I loved that. But turns out, Panasonic's implementation is not bad at all too. Food kept in there does last long.

I got a massive one-time deal at that time. $2500 for the Panasonic NR-F654GTX6. The biggest size 6-door fridge that they have. So it was a no-brainer. 1 year later, still no issues. My previous Samsung fridge, after a year, the LED light failed followed by the door handle breaking a few months later. And since I was out of warranty, as you expected, they want some money out of you. The great thing about the Panasonic fridge is that almost everything is removable for cleaning. All the drawers and trays too. So you can properly clean it thoroughly if you so choose.

Also! Word of advice. When buying a fridge, make sure you are getting the Tropical model! Search up on this. It is very important. Means that fridge has some coating and stuff to prevent rust and corrosion from high humidity tropical countries like Singapore. You can usually find the symbol or word inside the fridge where the serial numbers and other stickers in the fridge are.

This website offers a good explanation as well as how the sticker will looks like with the T on the climatic rating.

Hi, any brand of fridge allow customization of door?
Will want the door to swing from right to left , instead of the usual direction.

This is due to me having a glass door on the right side of the fridge

Hitachi ones do allow open on the left side.
May need to ask salesman on that.

i have 2 LG fridges. 420-440L type, double door.
Thought older one going to uplorry but ended up it was just overloaded due to me stocking up for **. Unload it then it's still ok though cannot fill to brim type.
No complaints. I find the interior space of LG makes more sense compared to other brands.

Didn't hear about this tropical model thing before too. That is really good to know especially with the type of weather here. Would remember it on my future purchase. Thanks!

Will be shopping around for a fridge soon and likely eyeing the Mitsubishi fridges as I've had really good experiences with them. The last one at my old place lasted >9 years without incident (still running well after I gave away to a friend who put it at his workshop for his workers). BOught a similar one for my in-laws, and also lasted well >7 years now.

This time i might look for models that have the ice dispenser at the front. Any pros and cons to fridges with this feature?
