:( I book this tour out of temptation, because the tour price is same as the air tix price~

Most of the places i went before, now a bit regret, should have went to Japan, since the tour packages big sale now.

hey mosmos, mind if i ask you a few questions? how much did you pay for taxes with the 5stars tour?
and usually we have to pay more if we're coming back on a different date?

(asking because i'm actually going for school summer exchange from june to aug, but want to go earlier to do abit of traveling first)

thanks in advance!
for korean air is $315, I booked a few wks ago~ :o

think asiana cheaper, only $265, or maybe the fuel has dropped~

oh okays thanks!
cos i last checked and the air tickets cost around $800 (with taxes) --> booking for my sisters who are traveling for fun with me
and the air tickets that i need (with 3 months validity) costs around $1200.
so was thinking if it's more worth it if i book with tour. :)

$1735/pax. Seems very well-rounded though it's kinda expensive?

Edit: Indeed very expensive...

the price is steep. is it quoted for holiday peak periods? If its not, then its too expensive.

the itinerary looks good.
but if you are not particular about womens shopping or dmz tour, then the tour is good enough for a first time overall coverage of Korea.

do not book those $800+ per pax packages. total rip off. Purposely choose attractions that are far apart from each other and you spend like half the time there on bus.

How much money should i change?

:s22: since most meals are include, maybe $200-300 for souvenirs and drinking water~?

since major shops + tourguide bring black shops accept credit card payment~ :o

Took a similar package from Hong Thai last December at $1794/pax. High price due to skiing season, package was $1.6-1.7k if travel Sep-Oct last year.

Realised there is no visit to Gyeongbokgung or other royal palaces after coming back. Most tour agency includes a visit in their packages. Last day was free as the itinery has been completed, but brought to shops selling health supplement and amethyst. These are my only complaints.

Was very satisfied with the hotel, food, guide, sights. Horse riding was enjoyable but bumpy when the horse gallops. 2 hotels, Jeju Oriental and Sheraton Walkerhill have small casinos, entry for age 19 and above, foreigners only.

Rental of skiing equipment at own expense as stated.
