did you check the itineries on hotels that they will bring you to.

Is long john necessary?? Do i need to buy boots if i am going to ski?? or i can just rent, meaning i wont need to buy any boots.

Long john is preferred cause temperature now in Korea is already minus 5. If you not afraid of cold the guess no need.

Boots is basically not sking, sking you will be renting the ski suit and equipments etc.

Most travellers buy boots cause of snowy weather which is wet and hardy.

I saw "World of Sports" having offers on Hi-Tec boots which seems pretty good and cheap...can chk it out there.

I will be leaving for korea, effectively on the 4th mid night...cant wait to get there? Any idea if i could buy the handphones there?? Is LG hp cheaper? Can i use them in SG??

I think Hong Thai is one of the cheaper ones for 8D6N tour to Korea as compared to SA tours,ASA,Chan Brothers and 5*.
As for tips,I think no choice lor...

jan seems to be a very popular month to go korea, guess must be the snow scenery.
i heard hong thai is very popular with korea tour, no wonder so many people choose this agency.

Non-slip low cut shoes should be okay but then you need thick socks to protect your feet from cold as cold air can easily slip thru tube of your pants/jeans.

Basically boot also provide you insulation from cold cause its is of thicker material. Also mid-cut boots prevent cold air from slipping into your legs from the tube of your pants/jeans.

Hi-tec boots I saw on offer is about $60-$80/pair. Quality of cos not comparable to Timberland but I guess its good enuff. Think there is hi-cut and low-cut designs. Can chk it out

Don;t think you could buy HP there cause S Korea uses a different Network from us, they use CDMA while we use GSM, but 3G phones over there should be compatiable here.

Regardless which agency you go with, you also have to tip the tour guide there and bus driver. If a local tour guide comes along (when grp is very big), you also have to tip him.

It is quite standard, tour guide is USD3/day and bus driver is USD1/day. So its USD28 for 7 days in Korea which is about SGD40+ to SGD50+/person already. Local tour guide think is about USD10/trip...so total about SGD60+.

Yep that's about the price my wife and I each paid.

Our leave arrangements were finalized very late, so by the time we actually could say for sure whether we were able to go on vacation, the SA tours package was one of the few agencies we could find offering the location. There weren't any other considerations this time.

When I'm back early next year, I'll post up some notes on my experiences with the package then.
