I am not too sure abt track shoes, might be slippery (try running with it on a wet tile floor) and make most likely get wet.. unless u are talking abt like timberland shoes.. personally I am wearing army gortex.. although i noe quite wols.. but i appreciate dry feet..

I am going on the 19th.. anyone worried abt the bird flu situation?

army gortex boots is a very good pair of boots which is snow proof and water proof.
It is made in US. On top of that, it provides very good grip on the ground which is very important in slippery snow ground.

When i first see this pair of army gortex boots in SAF stores, i quickly purchase it, it was the best pair of boots i have seen in SAF store. For those who do not know, this pair of gortex boots was only in SAF store barely 3 years.

Army gortex boots is really very good, I wore it to Europe last year and i am very satisfy with the performance. It is waterproof and my feet still not cold despite temperature of -5 to 5 degrees.

I think the price is around $119 when i bought 2 years ago, can use IC to buy.
I hope you know which pair of boots, you should look for gortex and US label on the shoe. The shoe design is different of normals boots with unique desgin on the side.

Army boots is definitely okay but a bit obiang (in fashion sense) and its not avail for people who do not served/finished serving the army.

I think you could also get mountaineering shoes, as long its waterproof and sole is tough enough would do

after reading all the comments given in HWZ.... i decided to play safe n hamtam on a pair of boots....
just got this pair of weatherproof boots for my upcomin korea trip
timberland 15% storewide now.... further 10% for citibank cardholders...
so i got dis at 25% off!!!

Have some friends returned from Korea.

Advice:
1) Remember to bring your own shopping bag when you go shopping, Koreans are environmental friendly and they charge for plastic shopping bags when you shop.

2) Swimming suit/shorts a must as there are plenty of pools in hotel to enjoy, for ladies with long hair a swim cap is must.

3) For those on tour groups, prepare USD for tipping, its easy to count than to give won.

4) Advisable to bring some cup noodles etc from Singapore, just in case you are hungry in the night (cold weather makes one hungery easily) and could not find food to eat. Also eating there is relatively more costly than eating locally.

Well heard its hot spring water in the pool..so its warm and shiok anyway a swimsuit or trunks does take up much of your luggage space..
