tip: if you're buying laniege, don't buy from the airport, it's more expensive from what i heard. buy from the shopping areas (myeodeong? however you spell it). the range is bigger also.

Yeah I climbed to the peak, its risky and very steep, no proper stairs just climb and clinge yourself to the side of the rocks. Slippery too if it is wet.

i have not seen any hot wine before when i was in japan, but the tour guide mention to us and a few of my tour mate went to buy, should have ask them to show us.

There's a change of schedule, did not go to pyong yong ski resort as expected My tour ended up in Daemyung Vivaldi Ski Resort, huge place, very crowded. Nevertheless did not spoil my fun 1st time sking

Rental of ski suit (jacket, pant and Goggles) = 25000 won/pc

No rental of ski gloves, either buy one pair or you have brough from S'pore, could use you own fleece or knitted gloves too...doesn't matter cos we not professional.

Ski equipment provided.

Settle your own lunch at the ski resort, we have Burger King Fast Food set meal for 2 at 13000 won - expensive but consider cheap over there. Btw sking is consider high-end activity for the Koreans too.

Sorry about the confusion, the rental breakdown:

Ski jacket and pant - 15000 won
Goggles - 10000 won
Total 25000 won.

if you like to play others e.g snowboard etc, you have rent them seperately at your expense, heard they are more costly than the normal ski enquipment.

thanks for the clarification, i was confuse as i saw your post "Rental of ski suit (jacket, pant and Goggles) = 25000 won/pc", so i thought they charge by 25000 won per piece.

One small part of it is indeed no railing or steps, but it's still within reason. There're spots of snow of course, but just be careful and try going round those patches. On the late morning I climbed, both kids and even older people around their early 60s could handle it, though with a bit of assistance.

sells like that our NTUC sells loh...e.mart considered quite reasonable.

for those who went with genting holidays, how much time did you spent at the ski resort skiiing? night ski or day ski?

do they give you full day skiing or half day skiiing?
personally i think half day skiiing is more than enough as the weather is too cold to stay outdoor too long.

i just came back from korea.... my trip was lovely!!!
i got to witness snow on d last day b4 comin back to singapore.... it wasnt supposed to snow, but somehow, it did.... and boy, all of us were so happi to c it, n its not little, but HEAVY SNOW!!!!

d whole trip, itinenary were completed without fail, due to good weather.... yes, mount sorak is veri slippery at some part, but my tour leader n tour guide took good care of our grp to ensure tat we can climb up successfully..... we even ended up playin snow battle up at mount sorak

my best trip so far!!

we were given ard 4hrs.. and frankly speaking you will be very tired by about 2hrs time.... the ski equipment is pretty heavy and climbing up the slope is the most tedious part... not to mention when you fall down to get back on yr feet with the skis is hard..... Best is detached the ski and climb up.. You can opt to take the cable car up but per trip is 10K won

just curious, since mt sorak is so slippery when going up to the peak, then coming down i guess will be even more dangerous.
