Recommended Motherboard and Intel Processor

what part can be reuse? steted please...

I should be using back the below items :

1) Plextor SSD 128MB
2) Maxtor 4TB HDD
3) 1 x DVD-Writer
4) Cooler Master Full Tower Casing with Power Supply (Have to check whether power is sufficient)

I have a old NVIDIA Graphic Card but not sure want to use back.

i dont recommend to reused the power supply get new 1.... so casing and and HDD plus casing you have already... so you need mobo, processor,power supply and rams.... what you intend to to do with this rig? just surfing and watch movies right?

Crucial 8gb ddr3 ~ $76
Fsp hexa 450w ~ $58
total ~ 343

I think this should be ok for you and you dont need GPU right?

Oops, my HDD I put wrongly, should be WD 4TB.

First thing I want to do is to do a speed test on my current 1GB Fibre cos previous test speed only around 600+.

I may want to play some games but have to see what is games are nice first.

With 8.1, do I need a Touch Screen Monitor in order to maximize the Windows 8.1 functions? :s11:

no you dont, no need touch screen monitor as me myself using Win 8.1...
what type of games? 500 budget i think not enough...

I see. I guess I can get those mouse meant for Win 8.1 instead, right?

I should be interested in the Metal Gear Solid 5 which I love this series from the start. =:p

With the integrated GPU, can it support such game?

:s13::s13: you wanna play AAA games with this type of budget i dont thinks so... but as for now the game is not out yet so with 500 budget i recommend you get i5 processor... and later on you a get a GPU...

thats why i ask what is you maximum budget you can push... because its not cheap... so other forumer also can help you.... you at least need better i5 cpu and good gpu to play high end games... at the moment value for money gpu is between GTX970 or AMD 290X...

you can get i5 4460

for gpu any brand can as long its GTX 970 or AMD 290X price around 400 to 500 plus...
