anyway guys.

just curious. Is there any series of RW moc toe which white sole comes with an arc? as in not flat de. looking at something like 875 or 8875 colors

kinda exploring the possible models for future purchase



and oh ya. btn 875 and 8875, besides the color difference and origin of country. Any specific reason why u guys choose a particular model?

875 and 877 is the classic red wing shoe. basically the icon of RW. so to own them, represents the heritage and the story of RW.
and thru time and usage, those shoes will darken (while some parts are lighter), which give it a very nice seasoned look.

moreover 877 is the classic upland hunting boots. so in singapore context, can go around hunting for xmm/OL/hot babes.

sg prices are just way overpriced.
400++ for moc toe irish setters.
used to be quite cheap many years back.
started out like maybe 200 odd to 300.
then to near 400, and now price hike to 400++.

not sure about the states market though. since some have pointed out that buying online like my-wardrobe.com and shoebuy.com ...they seem to be somewhat cheaper than sg.

some people say hk cheap also... so really, i think must do some research before getting.

Surely the 875 sold in US, JP and here are exactly the same item. But i understand it can be quite ex in JP too, ard 28000yen. Then we are retailing like $400+++.
someone mentioned hk selling like $300?

all i know that its expensive over here. as for the pricing matter, i think different country has different retail price. guess there no standard price for let's say 875.
yeah, its pretty "cheap" in hk. perhaps there are other places like the web or simply other countries selling cheaper.
cheapest i guess its 2nd hand and so forth (3rd...4th). lol!

I own both boots.

Red Wing shoe uses full grain leather, which is the top notch leather, while dr martens does not.

To be honest, Red wings feel 5 times steadier and more durable than a pair of dr martens.

Went red wings at suntec today.. No stocks for my 9EE 8138 no discounts too.. But they have various models on 40% discount with DBS credit cards..

need a pic of 1907. where u bought the pair? if the box is RW, the tag inside is RW, the sole is RW, should be authentic (unless u bought it 1st hand at around 100+, then got chance is fake, or just another brand, maybe called " Red Wings Boot")
by right should have, but after searching google, some pics show up that some pairs seem to be devoid of that lovely logo.
