Bro, you abit confused with the terminology la haha. Most if not all Redwing boots are GY welted. But the manner of their outsoles will determine how they are repaired. It does not depend on whether the shoe is GY welt but on how the outsole is applied. Pics again!
For
Crepe soles or soles that are glued on. Its a very simple matter as the stitch from the welt does not extend throughout and aloft on the outsole. So a resole is a simple matter of shaving down close to the welt and welding a new crepe layer and sanding down.

Just cut, paste and sand! Swee!***
This one Shukey can do no problemo.
Now the issue is with models with a leather midsole and where the stitching extends throughout and is aloft on the outsole.
So a resole for this will require unravelling of the thread and restitching of the entire welt. During this process of removing/cutting the stitch and pulling out of the rubber layer, the leather midsole is also often separated from the welt (due to glue and from been stuck together all this while). Hence the cork layer and whatever will be exposed and has to be redone and restitched.
This is a
Goodyear recraft. There is no one who can do this locally other than EEA which is also sent to his factory in Vietnam.
Do note both shoes are GYW but very different sole replacement process!
***Do note for areas like the Heel where there is no stitching, Shukey or Solemann can easily replace. Same replacement process as the glued soles.
Redwing Sg themselves do not recommend anyone local if there is stitching involved (more or less aldry a Goodyear recraft). Later if something similar happens like to this bro, then they also won't cover you.
