even with good year welted the outer sole will still be cemented/glued onto the midsole/upper.
the most what they can do is like White's or Nick's boots enforce the outer sole with stitching + screws and nails.

Use Made in USA, 550 Paracord, can cut to any length you desire, last forever and many colours to choose from.

Don't bother with the MIC quality, not worth the money.

Erm, got any links to sic? :o

Wore my beckman to work and only had 1 very small pressure spot at my left ankle. Think break in liao will be even more soft and comfortable. Can't wait to wear it again.

Crossover @ City Square:

Iron ranger RM1170
Beckman RM1265

I bought the Black Cherry Beckman + horse hair brush + leather cleaner + burgundy boot cream, total only RM1395, paid via cc so I estimate it to be around $480 @ 2.9 exchange rate.

Good deal, cannot even buy a pair of Beckman at that price in Singapore.

Anybody here owns the Irish setter 9877?

Saw in the Red Wings store, the leather looks damn nice but seems to be more stiff than 875.

Wonder how's the break in or any difficulties faced in wearing the 9877?

Tks.

4 years seems about right. With our weather, the glue holding the soles on can become brittle, without regular wear.

Wot? Aren't red wing soles good year welted ie stitched on, not cemented-which is to say glued?
