Scary workout today

Started with Bulgarian splits 22.5 kg db. First two sets were uneventful. On the 8th or 9th rep of the third set I felt a sharp twinge in my lower back. Immediately I dropped the weights and sat down on a bench. I was petrified at that point. Just kept massaging my lower back and after 10 min or so the pain more or less disappeared. No more splits for today.

Also managed 3 sets single calf raises 80kg.

I couldn't do any other leg exercises, so I did lousy leg extensions again. 150 reps X the whole thing. I didn't note down the weight.

Superset with hamstring curls 100 reps X the whole thing.

Now I'm guai guai lying on my bed doing back stretches. Scary :(

I'm about to have an excuse!

Wow! I'm happy for you bro! Babies are amazing. People used to tell me that but I never understood it until I became a dad too. You're going to have a lot of fun man:) hugging your kid is like hugging happiness.

How many more months to go? I'm having another one too! Haha

Shrugs 110kg 156 reps
Back ext 169 reps

I can feel I'm working on the wrong part. It's the back of the traps that feel exhausted, not the tip. Need to figure this out

It's immensely humbling to see someone lift a weight that most decently strong people can lift only once or twice 77x, and then declare that it's not a good workout. =:p

The way you put it made me sound a lot cooler than I am! I'm going to show off to my wife later. Haha it's just because I'm 100kg that's why.

No exercise this morning. I went out for a nice walk with my kid, let him pet a doggy and hang for a while on a pull up bar, met my mom and bro and had breakfast with them. All in all it was a fiiiiiiiine morning.

I'm a full time tutor, so things start to ease off right about now. I can spent a lot more time with my wife and son for the next two months! Always the best part of the year for me

Eh Reddit, were you a teacher before you became a full time tutor? If yes, how's the transition like and how's the work schedule then and now?

I'm curious because I'm considering switching career path. Teaching and then possibly see if I've got the people skills and communication skills to be a successful tutor. I recall I was quite a popular teaching assistant during Uni days, because I was pretty good at guiding the students in lab and tutorials.

Eh muscleman, I dont understand.

If u wanna try tutoring, u can just try part time, see if u like it anot, before gg full time mah.

No need to spend 2 years getting a post grad diploma, then serving 4 year bond....

Anw, wat u workin as now ah?
