I had a fun workout today. I managed to add 10kg to the dumb bell by tying two 5kg plates. Holding it was a little painful as the straps cut into my wrist.

Shrugs 50kg db (yay!) 168 reps over 14 sets

Back ext 168 reps over 14 sets

I wanted to add more weights but the straps hurt:( I sound like a wussy. I'm trying to figure out how to do barbell chest supported shrugs. If I can do that then it'll help a lot

Bench 130kg 50 reps over 10 sets

Pull ups 15kg db 58 reps over 10 sets

Incline db bench 35kg 24 reps over 3 sets

Chest supported db rows 35kg 24 reps over 3 sets

Very exhausted after working out. It felt like I'm starting all over again.

A few more days before I finish the 3rd week of the second phase. I'm tired. I'll take a week off after this and just relak relak.

Did legs today.
Bulgarian splits 100 reps 22.5 kg db
Single calf raises 130 reps 70kg smith machine
Hamstring curls machine 95 kg 30 reps

Single arm lateral raises cable machine 55kg 60 reps
Knee tucks 12.5kg 60 reps

Facepulls cable machine 80kg 36 reps over 6 sets

The bad thing about cables is that I'm never sure how much weight I actually lift. I estimate it's a little less than half of the stated weight.

The bad thing about cables is that I'm never sure how much weight I actually lift. I estimate it's a little less than half of the stated weight.

If you're using cables, you really shouldn't worry too much about weight because the focus should be tension. Same goes if you were to use resistance bands. Meaning to say that it's great for isolations because you can put all the weight on a specific muscle. Too heavy and you are just training your ego, usually using all the other muscles in the area except the targeted muscle.

its my wife's birthday! we went out to have a nice lunch, and then off to see a doctor. i had nothing to do, so i took a lot of pics with my son. this one i think is the most flattering of the whole lot.

the t shirt im wearing is from giordano. right now their t shirts are the slightly stretchable type, and come in xxl. straight away i bought 10 or 15 of them. beggars cant be choosers. the jeans are levi's straight cut, and the shoes are herring's monk strap. my kid is 11 months old, and cute as a button!

Bro, what is the gym @ 40 bucks? Thats mthly or year round?

bro, the gym is called dennis gym. they have a branch at geylang bahru cc (which is the one i visit), simei and a new branch at tampines. if i recall correctly, i paid $486 for a one year membership. i dont know the monthly fee, or even if there is such an option.

crap man...i think ive been using the cable machine the wrong way. with the exception of facepulls, ive always used it like a compound exercise, rather than isolation training. i have to rethink what i do with it. thanks!

Reddit how come u bought 10 pieces of the tee at one shot? There's 7 days a week and it takes time to rotate the wardrobe. :s11:

Forgot to update yesterday. Peak period now, so I'm busier than a one legged man in an ass kicking contest.

Close grip bench 110kg 60 reps
Pull up 22.5kg 60 reps

Incline db press 35kg 24 reps
Chest supported db rows 35kg 24 reps

I wanted to finish the 3 week phase with a bang, but no one else was in the gym, so I didn't dare go heavier as I had no spot.

Next week I'm definitely taking a break and rest for a while.

Haha no choice man. Not many clothes fit me so any time I see something that I can wear, I just hoot. Don't matter what colour or style
