This time mediatek hit the jackpot with their 2 new 5G chip: dimensity 820 & dimensity 1000+, both produced using 7nm SOC.
On benchmarks, dimensity 820 beaten snapdragon 765G in many areas.
Even their high-end dimensity 1000+ perform outstandingly against huawei kirin 990(5G) chip. Only losing to snapdragon 865 in rather respectfully margin.

BUt if cannot wait, qoo10 already has it for sale, 10X Pro ard $550 for the 8gb/128gb variant. Bout $610 for the 8gb/256gb one.

But then 5G still long way to go in Singapore for full a roll out.
Starhub & M1 joint bidded for 5G license. Thus M1 will has similar plan with Starhub plan.

to be fair qualcomm heavily segmented their upper mid range and flagship segments, with the 765g still lagging behind greatly behind the 845 from 2 years ago. seeing mediatek finally able to fill this space is good for competition.

k20pro never had a 5g variant. k20p premium was only an upgrade to 855+, but still no 5g modem.
Think google pixel phone also using different color for their power button.

Looking forward for official launch in Malaysia/Singapore.
Look like xiaomi clearing redmi note 9 stock now in SEA countries.
I like 10X screen cause it uses Samsung Amoled not LCD on note 9.
