The phone can be L1 certified in terms of security and Google certified but xiaomi will still need to pay a very expensive fee to Netflix whitelist their phone, which I doubt they did it since this model meant to be in China only

Yes lock the app in recent apps so that it will not be closed off in the background then usually by default the wifi is not on continuous only when there is a notification, should be under battery settings there will one one to off wifi when the screen is off and sleep

Just got my 10x 5g delivered from Taobao last week. Beautiful phone and build quality for this price. Installed Google apps easily through the Getapps store. However, I've not been getting my Whatsapp (and other chat apps) notification after the phone screen is off as it seems MIUI shuts of the notifications. I've turned Autostart on and Battery saver to no restrictions but still do not get my notifications until I log into the home screen.

Also in the specs while this phone is Widevine L1 certified and after sideloading nexflix it still works only on SD on HD available. Netflix apps setting shows only L3 certification.

Mine have notification when screen off but sometimes never come in or come in late when i play games or exit games
I haven try locking in memory yet, u can try see is it better

I think its because apart from widevine, Netflix has to support the device itself. This link shows the supported devices and 10X 5g is not in the list.

It got me thinking though. K30 pro is not in the list also but I dont see anyone mentioning this issue

Unfortunately, still doesn't work. It seems MIUI keeps closing Whatsapp so after sometime the apps needs to be reopened to get messages.
