is galaxy a60 even available in sg? google around like cannot find this special price of $229, and official sg samsung website don't even have listing.

I see hk page say have support for spay, and gsmarena also lists nfc support, so should be can use gpay. having nfc is one advantage over the rn7 series, and it also has a wide angle camera on top of the main and depth sensors. however, the a60 probably uses a fully plastic body, lacks a headphone jack and has a smaller battery. if it really costs $229 I think the compromise might be worth it, but I find it hard to believe given that the a50 is already going for $300-$400 on lazada.

EDIT: checking on taobao since u mention export set can find ¥1500 listings, which is around $300, quite cheap la. but that's for the 6/64 variant, with the 6/128 going for ¥2000, which is $400. and now rn7p got ¥200 discount, 6/128 for ¥1400 ($280), so in the end still cheaper than a60.

Yeah, problem is local importers are not reflecting the price of 6/128GB Note 7 Pro; Can get at that price from local importers?

its a recent promotion and most likely temporary, so I dont think local importers will reflect this $40 discount. anyway I personally just do the importing myself straight from taobao, so I just look at taobao price can le. but can sic your $229 a60? :)

btw rn7 non pro 6/64 also got similar price drop in china, now same price as 4/64 :s22:

The 6.3-inch LCD display produces decent colours and brightness level is also very good. The Redmi Note 7 has a dewdrop notch, a notification LED in the chin and a hybrid SIM slot. It's powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC which offers very good app and gaming performance.

Hi, im interested in getting a Note 7 soon, I just need to know if its worth an upgrade from my Note 5a Prime, and is 290 a good price for it

How does the Note 5a compare to the Note 7?

Pity they won't release the pro ver here for local buyers, would be more interested in a 6/128 variant with a faster soc than 660.

Anybody got a good phone cover recommendation for somebody who tends to drop his phone accidentally? looking for something to protect the screen in particular.

looks like quite a big upgrade actually. the chipset is faster, bigger and higher res screen, bigger battery, better camera, usb c. u lose the dedicated sdcard slot (so u can only either load 1 sim + sdcard or 2 sims) but at least u keep the headphone jack. the gradient colours on the note 7 also quite nice imo.

u see $290 for which storage variant? china prices are as follows:
3/32 ¥1000/$200
4/64 ¥1200/$240
6/64 ¥1400/$280 but now having promotion so same price as 4/64 :s22:

$290 is ok for 4/64 since xiaomi sg sell at $330, but I think u can find better deal elsewhere.

rn7p never released outside of china and india, so not say they purposely never sell in sg only. personally think the pro also not that value for money as non pro, since it costs half as much more than non pro but u don't get half a phone more in terms of features and performance. 6/128 is too overkill since the chip not that fast and u also have microsd slot, but it's the only storage variant available, cannot save money by choosing lower storage. some more u see how badly xiaomi sg price their non pro, I don't want to think how they will price the pro if it ever came here.

Looking for 6/64, I saw AliExpress selling at $250. Never bought phone from AliExpress before. This is 6/64 with global rom rite?

nope, it's most likely china set flashed with global rom. the specs don't list band 20 lte support, which is present in global/local set. not sure how they guarantee local warranty though. best is to check with the shop, on the box will write whether is china or local set.

Besides the 4G band is there any other differences I should take note on the china/global sets?
