After I first flashed the Indian rom via fastboot (or rather the MiFlash app), the camera still works... Including the 48mp mode. It appears that the Indian rom is pretty much the same as the global one, just some name changes (according to forum comments). Didn't test much with it, immediately after setup I went to flash the global rom via recovery liao.

Hi,
Do we still wait for 360hrs, under unlocked mode, before allow to flash Global ROM?

Omg, can share which note 7 u using? and step by step procedure if u got time to share :s12::D:s22: anyway congrats!

I'm on the 6GB RAM / 64GB ROM china set.

Basically you need to download the India fastboot rom and the EEA Stable Recovery rom from here https://mirom.ezbox.idv.tw/en/phone/lavender/

First flash the India fastboot rom via the MIUI ROM Flashing Tool. Take care to only tick the "clean all" box and not the "clean all and lock" box
http://en.miui.com/a-234.html

For me, I then just run through the usual setting up of the phone, just to briefly see what changes are there. Put the EEA recovery rom in the phone or SD card storage, then I flash custom RMN7 twrp from here https://drive.google.com/file/d/1nYu4gbLnGcoWnfXTOONwJk4ifc82l-Sc/view (need to use this specific version for our RMN7) then flash the EEA recovery rom.
I kenna the android password lock when rebooted, so had to go back to the twrp and do a wipe (factory reset).

Then voila.

I can't confirm if flashing the recovery rom via the stock recovery will work.... I've been using the custom recovery the whole while and the comments in that forum all say use twrp. Technically should be able to work, if you wanna try. If else fails, load back the original china rom.

That's probably what he meant by the product strategy. Introducing the RMN7 Pro would have placed it too close to Pocophone in terms of pricing. Didn't make sense and would have diluted the sales for both phones.

Which would mean that the Pocophone F2 will likely come with the IMX586 sensor. :o

after initial unlock, subsequent flash reflash should be immediate. correct?

If you are saying no need to wait for xxx hours again to unlock, then ya any flashing done is immediate

Just don't select the clean + lock when flashing
